Daily Star’s Inside Hot TV newsletter sees Ed Gleave send you telly’s hot takes straight to your inbox every Sunday
The Chase viewers were smitten on Monday evening when a dishy firefighter proved he had both brawn and brains in the ITV studios.
Contestant Alex was the second to play, stepping up to face host Bradley Walsh for the quick-fire round of questions.
He performed relatively well, but it wasn't his brains that got viewers chatting, but rather, his dashing good looks.
Unfortunately for those admirers, the fireman revealed he would spend his winnings on his wedding to long-term girlfriend Georgie, having proposed to his leading lady.
Even Chaser Anne Hegerty was left starry-eyed after laying eyes on him, as she asked: "If there was a fire would you throw me over your shoulder and carry me off?"
The Governess then pretended she was looking to light a match, leaving contestant Alex laughing before they launched into the second round.
Over on Twitter, viewers were disappointed to learn Alex was a taken man, as they cracked firefighting puns to express their feelings for the dishy contestant.
One said: "Oh hello Alex. You can fight my fire any day.”
"Hello firefighter Alex… I think I've got a blaze that needs seeing to,” wrote a second.
And a third gushed: "There's a really cute firefighter called Alex currently on #TheChase. Sadly he doesn't seem to be doing well…”
"Let’s take a moment to appreciate alex the firefighter on The Chase,” added a fourth.
At one point during his conversation with Bradley, Alex managed to put his foot in it, revealing he spends far too much time watching the footie at home.
When Brad asked what his fiancée does while he's glued to the telly, Alex replied: "I won’t say, I don’t want to offend her."
He then added that Georgie would likely be "making me a tea or something" while he watched the game, leaving Bradley scoffing.
The host then turned to the remaining contestants and joked: "That's the end of that relationship!"
However, Alex then managed to turn the situation around, sharing his plans to arrange a special wedding for his bride-to-be in the months to come.
Ever the joker, Bradley replied: "That was nice, you’ve really dug yourself out of that one."

Leaving certain fans of the show fuming, Alex decided to plump for the low offer, having lost his confidence after a rocky cash builder round.
Thankfully, he successfully made it through to the next round, increasing his team's chances of taking down the unbeatable Anne Hegerty in the final.
The Chase airs on weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
