Tipping Point viewers were left baffled on Wednesday after a contestant on the ITV show revealed he had no idea where Paris is.

Kirk found himself stumped when presenter Ben Shephard asked him the geography question.

Ben asked Kirk what country a native Parisian comes from.

And viewers were stunned into laughter when Kirk answered "pass".

They took to Twitter to share their incredulity, with one amazed viewer writing: "Paris as in Parision ffs".

Another laughed: "What country does a Parisian come from? Pass" with a row of cry-laughing emojis.

Someone else typed: "How dare you pass on France, Kirk?" along with a GIF captioned Shame, Shame, Shame.

"Native Parisian? PASS" another incredulous social media user penned.

Others simply couldn't believe it had happened, with one fan writing: "I had to rewind to check he actually said pass for the Parisian question #TippingPoint."

Another Tipping Point fan wrote: "He passed on the Parisian question?!"

A red-faced Kirk was eliminated after his round, leaving Jean and Amara to face off in the head-to-head.

And it was Jean who failed to jump the final hurdle, while Amara stormed through to the final for a chance to play for the jackpot.

She admitted she'd put her winnings towards a deposit to a house for her and her boyfriend Barney, along with their puppy Albert, who is "really fat and cute".

There were some tense scenes as the double counter stuck close to the golden jackpot counter – but fell before Amara could secure the much coveted £10,000.

She managed to secure £3,050 after refusing to gamble for extra counters.

The student admitted the money would help clear her overdraft.

But as Ben instructed her to insert the final three counters to see if she could have secured the jackpot, there was relief in the studio as it didn't fall.

Amara admitted she was "so relieved and so happy" by the outcome.

"She was so tempted to take the trade – it's a good job she didn't though, else she would've lost the lot!" Ben told the audience.

Fans were left cringing during Monday's episode of Tipping Point, as presenter Ben attempted an American accent.

He tried to impress the programme's contestants with his 'New Jersey' accent, but those sitting at home certainly weren't impressed.

Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: "Never do a New Jersey accent ever again @benshephard!"

"Silly accent klaxon," someone else added.
