Ulrika Jonsson says Gladiators stars were all bedding each other with one having sex with 5 different people a night

GLADIATORS presenter Ulrika Jonsson has told of how the stars of the show were all bedding each other after the cameras stopped rolling.

The TV star – who rose to fame hosting the iconic show in the 1990s – even admitted one female star had sex with five people in one night.

Ulrika, 54, opened up about the Gladiators sexy behind-the-scenes antics to Geordie Shore star Vicky Pattison on her podcast, The Secret To.

"In the first year, there was loads of jumping from bed to bed," she revealed of the stunning British cast consisting of muscular men and women.

"One female gladiator said: 'You were f***ing five people! People were coming and going in your room last night', and she replied: 'No, only four'."

"The hotel room had to stop them using fake tan as it ruined the sheets," Ulrika concluded of the romps at the hotel between filming.

Things only got crazier for the cast, with the Shooting Stars presenter admitting that by the third year of filming, the Gladiators needed security.

"The Gladiators themselves had to have bodyguards, it was really bizarre – they just became so popular. They had so many fans," Ulrika went on.

While Ulrika didn't admit to joining in on any romps herself, she did touch on her relationship with show star Hunter, bodybuilder James Crossley.

Ulrike and James – who is six years younger than her – enjoyed a brief romance in 1996 as they worked alongside each other.

"Obviously I dated Hunter for about a year and a half and away from the show he was amazing and the sweetest, sweetest man," the presenter said.

"He was only 22 when I think when I got together with him. Poor boy."

Earlier this year, Ulrika posted an affectionate message for her Gladiators ex-boyfriend James, 47, on her social media grid.

James, who best known for his alter-ego Hunter on the 90s series, recently returned to screens to compete on reality show The Circle.

He was eliminated from the show after masquerading as fictional NHS nurse 'Gemma', to which Ulrika offered up her condolences.

Captioning the post, which featured a a close up of Crossley's face, she wrote: "It's too late at night for me to watch but he can be cute."

The presenter later shared a second image of James on the show and penned: "What you saying, cake?"

Although their relationship was denied at the time, Ulrika ultimately lifted the lid on their "physical" romance in her 2003 autobiography, Honest.

She wrote: "Well, I guess I was infatuated with James. It was a physical thing. And what a nice man he turned out to be!"
