FANS of Netflix's Never Have I Ever are hotly anticipating season two of the series after the first season, which aired in 2020, was a hit.
There are set to be 11 episodes in season two.
What is Never Have I Ever about?
Never Have I Ever is a coming-of-age comedy series created by Mindy Kaling and Lang Fisher.
The series is loosely based on Kaling's own childhood experiences as she navigates the "complicated life of a first-generation Indian-American teenager."
"After the death of her father, Devi finds the walls of her Southern California home more suffocating than ever, and her nerdy demeanor isn’t doing her any favors at school," writes Cosmopolitan.
"And since she thinks her ticket to popularity is losing her virginity, she decides to do only the most obvious thing: go after the hottest man she knows in school."
The show stars Maitreyi Ramakrishnan as Devi, Darren Barnett as Paxton Hall-Yoshida, Jaren Lewison as Ben Gross, Lee Rodriguez as Fabiola and Ramona Young as Eleanor.
When is season 2 of Netflix's Never Have I Ever?
Never Have I Ever will return to screens July 15, 2021.
A few new faces will be joining the cast, including Tyler Alvarez, who will play the role of Malcom, described as a "young Hollywood type."
PJ Byrne will star in the new season after having featured in The Boys, Big Little Lies and Black Lightning.
Additional names attached to season two include John Mawson who will play Dr. Elgin Peters and Megan Suri as Aneesa, a new Indian student whose “confidence and radiance” will immediately intimidate Devi.

Rapper Common will take on the role of Dr. Chris Jackson, who is expected to catch the eye of Devi's mother Nalini (Poorna Jagannathan).
It was rumored that Chrissy Teigen was set to make a significant voiceover appearance on the season, however, she recently landed herself in hot water after a series of old tweets where she "bullied" multiple celebrities resurfaced.
How can I watch Never Have I Ever?
As the show is a Netflix original series, you can watch Never Have I Ever exclusively on the streaming platform.
Kaling and Lang are remaining tight-lipped on how season two is going to unfold, although the cast have had their thoughts on what will happen for their characters.
“I would love to see Devi love herself,” Maitreyi told Deadline back in June about what she hopes to see from her alter ego.
“I think that’s an important message that not just high school teenage girls could learn. Just the idea of loving yourself is something I think a lot of people need to hear. I don’t think we do that enough. I don’t think we value ourselves as much as we should.”
Kaling hinted that there would be an exploration of grief in the new season, seeing as the show is based on the actress' life.
Kaling told TV Line that she and Fisher “both lost parents, and we were like, ‘It would be so great to—in a show that’s a comedy show—be able to deal with a character who is unable to handle her grief.’ Especially in a lot of Asian communities and minority communities, dealing with grief or mental health, there’s still such a stigma attached to it.”
