CLARA Amfo will be familiar to radio fans as presenter of BBC Radio 1's weekday mid-morning show.
She has worked at Nickelodeon and Kiss FM, as well as featuring on Strictly Come Dancing 2020. She is set to take on hosting duties for the 2021 BAFTA's.
Who is Clara Amfo?
Clara Amfo was born in Kingston upon Thames on May 28, 1984.
She got her start in showbiz as a presenter on Nickelodeon, and by entering a contestant in the BBC Talent competition landed a job at CBBC.
The 36-year-old started her radio career at Kiss FM in London, presenting the overnight show.
She was then promoted to Saturday Breakfast and then drivetime show.
She joined BBC Radio 1Xtra in 2013, hosting the weekend breakfast show.
In 2015, she became the host of The Official Chart on BBC Radio 1, and in the same year, took over from Fearne Cotton as host of the station's mid-morning show.
On September 2, 2020, it was announced that Clara would be appearing on the 18th series of Strictly.
A source close to the presenter explained: "Clara is a massive fan of Strictly and couldn't be more excited to show off her footwork.
"She can't wait to take on the challenge and is definitely going to be one to watch this series."
Unfortunately, Clara became the fifth celebrity to be eliminated from the show's series.

Clara only has a small portfolio of TV work, as her background is mainly in radio.
Clara hosted the British premiere of Red Riding Hood and has reported from assorted events in the UK, including Wireless, Global Gathering, SW4 and NASS festivals.
She's also presented for BBC Three.
Clara fronted the channel's coverage of Radio 1’s Big Weekend, T in The Park and Glastonbury festival.
Clara also hosted the Brit Awards 2018 red carpet alongside Capital FM's Roman Kemp.
In May 2018, she was announced in the line up for Celebrity Masterchef 2018 alongside Dolly Parton's sister Stella, and former Made in Chelsea star Spencer Matthews, but was eliminated during the last week of heats.

Clara isn't believed to be dating, as she's previously said she puts her career above romance.
In a 2015 interview, Clara was asked if she ever plans to have kids.
She said: "I don’t know. I don’t have a guy and that’s OK. My career is my boyfriend, I’m happy having fun and being 'Cool Auntie Clara' to my nieces and nephews.
"It’s interesting how people don’t ask male presenters how they cope with childcare."
In an interview with The Sun in 2019, Clara was asked about the love of her life.
She responded: "My mum Gracie. She’s a big deal on Instagram with over 10,000 followers. People care about her more than me."
She was also asked how often she has sex, and responded: "Whenever I can! Sex is a fantastic, natural thing. We could all be having more of it."
