MOLLIE KING is set to become a married woman after announcing her engagement to England cricketer Stuart Broad.
She rose to fame as part of girl group The Saturdays, before appearing on Strictly Come Dancing and becoming the host of Radio 1's weekend breakfast show.
Who is Mollie King?
Mollie King, 33, is a singer and model from Wandsworth in London, best-known for being one-fifth of girl band The Saturdays.
As a youngster, Mollie was a skiing champion and a finalist in the Miss Guildford beauty pageant.
She began her rise to fame by auditioning for The X Factor in 2005 aged 18, where she clashed with Sharon Osbourne over her chosen outfit despite impressing with her vocals.
Mollie returned in 2007 as part of girl band Fallen Angelz, but they did not progress past the Bootcamp round.
Then in that same year, Mollie auditioned to be part of girl band The Saturdays, alongside the likes of Frankie Sandford, who had been a member of S Club Juniors.
As soon as they'd formed the group toured with Girls Aloud, and they eventually released four albums, selling five million of them.
Among their best-known songs are Ego, Issues and their cover of Just Can't Get Enough.
After seven years in action and four tours, plus their own show called Chasing The Saturdays, the band went on permanent hiatus in 2014.
In 2017 the band reunited for the first time to celebrate the decade since they formed.
Mollie released her debut single, Back To You, in 2016 but as yet no solo album is forthcoming.
Mollie has been appearing on This Morning this summer to present the entertainment slot and made her full presenting debut alongside Ben Shepard.
In October 2018 it was announced that she would take over as a host on Radio 1's weekend breakfast show along with Matt Edmonson, before taking on Best New Pop on Friday mornings.
When did Mollie King start dating Stuart Broad?
Mollie King began dating England cricket star Stuart Broad in 2018 – but the pair split just five months later in August of that year.
At the time, a source said: “Mollie and Stuart’s romance has fizzled out. Their schedules are packed and it’s not been easy to see each other often.
“It wasn’t working so they went their separate ways. There are no hard feelings.”
However, the pair rekindled the spark shortly after with the bowler proposing to the radio host on New Year's Day 2021.
Who has Mollie King previously dated?
Mollie enjoyed a high profile romance with British model David Gandy in 2011.
Their relationship lasted ten months, they got back together in 2015, only to split again the following year.
Prior to that she dated Andy Brown, lead singer of Lawson.
Mollie was also heavily rumoured to be dating her Strictly Come Dancing partner AJ Pritchard – as they reached the semi-final of the show.
The Sun's Bizarre column revealed the pair were caught snogging during training for the show, with their secret romance the talk of backstage.
Neither of the pair ever said whether they did date and in February 2018 former Strictly pro Branden Cole fuelled the speculation further by telling The Sun that they DID get together on the show.
What has Mollie King said about dyslexia?
Mollie has been quite open about her battle with dyslexia.
She has said: "It didn’t take long before I realised something was wrong when it came to reading out loud.
Eventually, though, reading became so hard that my mum suggested I be tested to see what the problem was. I had extra tutoring after school, and even though I still found reading a struggle.
"If I have to read a script off an autocue, I have to memorise it first. It’s the same if we’re practising a new song for the first time; the other girls in The Saturdays can sing the words as soon as they see them, but I have to study them first."
