DAVID Bonola, the handyman accused of stabbing Orsolya Gaal to death, allegedly made a shocking confession about the murder, offering a reason why he did it.
Newly revealed court records show Bonola believed Gaal gave him HIV, making the claim to detectives on April 20.
On the night Bonola allegedly stabbed Gaal to death, he followed her home from a bar after she went out to see a show with friends.
“She opened the door and asked me what I was doing there,” he allegedly told investigators, per court records obtained by the New York Post.
“I told her that I just wanted her to tell me the truth about why she gave me HIV. She said she didn’t have HIV.”
Bonola also alleges Gaal was cheating on him, the records say.

Bonola claims that he and the married woman had an on-off affair for two years.
The night of the stabbing, Bonola claims Gaal told him their affair was done. She then allegedly grabbed a knife and threatened to kill Bonola if he didn't leave her home.
“I grabbed the knife and cut her from the neck,” Bonola allegedly told investigators.

Bonola claims to have cleaned up Gaal's house with towels before dumping her body in her son's duffel bag and ditching it about a mile from the home, according to court documents.
He also allegedly dumped Gaal's laptop into the Hudson River, authorities say.
“In the past, she told me that she had sent a man to jail so I sent a message to her husband pretending to be that guy because I was scared,” Bonola allegedly said.
“I took her laptop because she had sex videos on the laptop. I threw her laptop in the Hudson River where I used to visit her.”
