An Amazon driver allegedly rerouted a customer’s TV and chair to his Long Island home – and threatened a co-worker with bodily harm if he snitched on him, according to a report.
Edward Seyfert, 48, of Deer Park, was supposed to deliver the merchandise, valued at $5,600, from Amazon’s Bethpage warehouse Wednesday, but rerouted the truck to another location, the Daily Voice reported.
He was accused of threatening a 28-year-old colleague not to tell authorities about his actions, the report said.
Sefert was arrested Friday after Nassau County police launched an investigation. He was charged with grand larceny and arraigned in Mineola.
The stolen items have been recovered and no injuries have been reported, according to the Daily Voice.
