Man catches wife having fling with married cop after doorbell cam records them

A MARRIED police chief was caught having a fling with one of his officers when her cop husband heard her arranging a tryst on their doorbell cam.

Deputy chief constable Nev Kemp’s phone call with Sgt Rachael Johnson was picked up by her device’s audio recorder as they planned a night at a hotel, a source said.

Rachael’s husband Ross, who is also a sergeant, quizzed her and she is said to have confessed to a relationship — claiming she had been vulnerable following the death of a close relative.

Ross, 40, then confronted Mr Kemp and reported him to other senior officers at Surrey Police.

An outside force has now been called in to assess the complaint against Mr Kemp, 48.

Surrey’s previous deputy chief constable Jeremy Burton “retired” in February over an “inappropriate relationship” with a female inspector.

Successor Mr Kemp joined the force in 2017 from neighbouring Sussex.

It is understood that Rachael, 38, worked on criminal justice and staff matters at Surrey Police’s HQ in Guildford.

A source said: “Rachael and the deputy chief constable worked closely together. One thing has seemingly led to another.”

It is against guidelines for officers to have relationships within the same team.

Surrey Police said none of the parties involved wished to comment to The Sun.
