Students hand out McDonald’s to homeless people before painting the town red with Christmas pub crawl – The Sun

Merry Oxford undergrads spread festive cheer as they raised money for the city's homeless – and enjoyed a big night out in the process.

Dressed mainly in red and white – with a few elves chucked in for good measure – the troupe were seen handing out McDonald's meals to homeless people across the city.

Some also gave away some of the Santa attire they'd been given for the boisterous crawl.

And photos show the night quickly descending into drunken revelry as students charged around the historic city.

Wreathed in smiles, the festive frolickers were seen snogging, piggy-backing and dancing their way through the streets.

Later on, a number of worse-for-wears Santas were spotted outside nightclub ATIK, looking concerned as a fellow student vomited by the railing.

Organisers for the Santa Crawl event promise students "the biggest night of your life" – and these ones were certainly out to enjoy themselves.

The £10 ticket goes towards raising money for the homeless, while student organisers are active all year round though – giving a twice-weekly handout to local homeless people of McDonald's and hot drinks.

The description reads: "The Santa Crawl takes 1000 students all dressed as Santas taking you on the biggest Club & Bar crawl at Oxfords Best Venues!!!"
