Pixi Just Released SO Many New Skin Treats, We Can’t Pick Favorites

Pixi is, hands down, one of my favorite beauty brands. As soon as I swiped Pixi Glow Tonic on my face years ago, I knew we’d be friends.

We’re often treated to new Pixi products — from eye shadow palettes, an industry-first retinol toner, and a peachy concealer that I’m completely devoted to — but just when we thought they had all the products we needed, the brand took its skincare innovations to the next level, and we’re in love all over again. If having an in-shower facial and on-the-go skincare stick sound right up your alley, read on for our favorite new Pixi treats.

Rihanna Is Coming Out With The Brightest Pink Lipstick You’ve Ever Seen

Just when you thought Fenty Beauty was about to take a much needed rest, Rihanna and her beauty brand come through with yet another product that fans are going scramble to get their hands on. According to social media, Fenty Beauty’s Unlocked Stunna Lip Paint is coming, and it’s the prettiest, pinkest lippie, you’ve ever seen.

Rihanna and her massively successful makeup brand have already had a major 2019, and it’s only the beginning of February. That, however, isn’t slowing this beauty mogul down. While they may have just dropped new complexion products and expanded their existing shade range of foundation, the brand is launching yet another new goodie, and fans of the brand’s Stunna Lip Paint are going to be so happy.

The new Unlocked shade in the liquid lipstick formula is a vibrant, hot pink that’s basically demanding that you add it to your wish list for your Valentine’s Day date. Like all of the brand’s other Stunna Lip Paints, the new hot pink hue looks good on every complexion. The lipstick is a soft matte finish and features a long wearing formula, so if you’re heading out for your Valentine’s Day date night, it could just be the perfect choice. Plus, hello, does the hot pink not scream V-day?

When can you get your hands on the new Unlocked Stunna Lip Paint? Well, that’s kind of where the Valetine’s Day date night idea comes in. The new lipstick from Fenty launches on Feb. 12, just in time for Valentine’s Day. If you’re already thinking about the price, it’s incredibly unlikely that the new Unlocked shade will be a different price than the other lippies in the range. That means you can expect to pay $24 when the new color drops.

The vibrant pink of Unlocked actually marks a major departure for the Stunna Lip Paints. Sure, the first was a vibrant red called Uncensored, but red is a totally classic color. After that, came the three varying nudes of Uncuffed, Unveil, and Unbutton. Now, Rihanna’s Uninvited, a black shade is getting another statement color friend thanks to Unlocked. With the new launch, it seems as though the lip paints may be on their way to the diverse shade range of the brand’s Mattemoiselle lippies which currently come in 24 shades.

Despite it only being the beginning of February, Unlocked is actually Fenty Beauty’s second launch of the year, and the first was a doozy. The brand launched 50 shades of concealer, eight loose powders, new complexion tools, and extended their foundation shade range by 10 shades. Basically, it’s been a big year for Fenty Beauty, and it’s barely been a month and a half. Fans of the brand and Rihanna, however, would expect nothing less from the ultra-successful, inclusive brand.

Mark your calendar for Feb. 12 if you want to get your hands on Fenty Beauty’s Unlocked Stunna Lip Paint. Whether you really are looking for a Valentine’s Day lipstick or just planning to complete your Fenty collection of liquid lipsticks, this new is a must-have.

This Kimoji Heart Perfume Manicure Is The Cutest But Most Impractical Manicure EVER

Cute, impractical, and totally extra. That’s many of Nail Sunny’s manicures. Nail Sunny created a Kim Kardashian Kimoji Hearts perfume-inspired manicure. Yes, it’s cute and it’s impractical. But you won’t be able to stop looking at it. But to be fair, the nail art chain, which claims to be the largest in Russia and boasts over 2 million Instagram followers, does create gorgeous and perfectly functional and wearable manicures, too. They just capture attention with their unusual and oddly satisfying designs.

This manicure featured long, purple painted nails with conversation candy hearts fastened to the tips. The first thought is, "How does one write or, you know, change contact lenses with those?" The second is, "Oh, those are cute for V Day but you can’t eat ’em."

But these weren’t just a tribute to the infamous Valentine’s Day candies. Not. Even. Close.

Rather, they paid particular homage to KKW Fragrance’s latest drop. The nails boasted the names of KKW’s Valentine’s Day scents. KKW resurrected three popular scents from last year and added three new ones. They boast cheeky names like "Wifey," "Baby Girl," "Bae," "BFF," "Baddie," and "Ride or Die." Those scent names are painted on the hearts.

But as with most of their nail art, Nail Sunny took it a step further. The tech crafted the hearts to look exactly like the perfume bottles — complete with the line to indicate the removable cap.

I admit that I half-expected the Nail Sunny x Kimoji Hearts nail art to be fully functional and to include actual perfume that you can spritz inside the hearts.

Remember, this is the nail salon that has created a Starbucks coffee cup manicure you could drink out of, a MAC brush mani that applied product, cheese grater nails that worked, and Ramen noodles you could eat. So, yeah, every last detail is considered when it comes to a Nail Sunny mani.

Here is the source of inspo. If Kim or her social media team see this mani, they may be tempted to repost it, which could send Nail Sunny’s visibility into the stratosphere. Now that the company is opening a salon in the Kardashian’s home turf of Los Angeles, it could introduce Nail Sunny’s gloriously extra manicures to a whole slew of new clients. That would be a smart biz move and ultimately why the salon made this mani.

The Nail Sunny tech used the same red lettering, too. The salon certainly has artisans in its ranks.

Instagram’s feelings towards this nail art were generally pretty positive. That’s likely because it was more wearable and not quite as "out there" as some of the manicures that Nail Sunny has created and posted in thee past. The salon often asks its followers "yes or no" and "yay or nay" regarding some of its creations. By comparison, this design was pretty tame.

The brand is expanding. Perhaps Kim and co. will pop by the L.A. location for a branded manicure once its open and operational. Regardless, throw Nail Sunny a follow and you are guaranteed to see some pretty exceptional and outrageous nail designs populate its feed.

Kendall Jenner Looks Exactly Like Her Mom Kris Jenner With New Bangs: See Look-Alike Pic

Kendall Jenner debuted her bangs to Instagram on Feb. 4, and fans hopped into the comments section to scream one name: Kris! Thanks to the hair makeover, the model is nearly identical to her momager.

Sorry Kim Kardashian, but Kris Jenner has another honorary twin! The momager’s 23-year-old daughter, Kendall Jenner, has a new crop of wispy bangs and is now the striking image of Kris. Kendall revealed her new ‘do to Instagram on Feb. 4, and fans turned the post into a repeating record with comments like, “the kris jenner jumped out,” “U look like ur mom ur so beautiful,” “Look a like kris jenner😍,” and so forth. Also new were Kendall’s seemingly puffier lips, which made others see a little Kylie Jenner — and even Emily Ratajkowski — in Kendall. Still, it was Kris’ name that was mostly used — see what fans mean in the photos below!

While Kris has always rocked a little fringe on her forehead, she added more layers to her bangs in the beginning of 2019! The Keeping Up with the Kardashians star revealed her fresh haircut to IG on Jan. 7, but that time, she drew comparisons to Kim. Really, the “twins” in the family always flip-flop, as you can tell in HollywoodLife’s gallery above. The KarJenner sisters (Kris included) are always making us see double!

It’s unclear how long Kendall’s bangs are staying, as she captioned the hair makeover post, “yes, no, maybe so?” Well, it’s a hard yes for us. But it’s not the first time Kendall has experimented with some fringe, as she also rocked bangs nearly four years ago at the 2015 American Music Awards. It’s about time they made a comeback!

Kendall dabbled in even more hairstyles for her Vogue Italia photo shoot, which she shared sneak peek photos from to her IG. We saw a side-swept fringe, big red curls, and more! Kendall rarely strays from her trademark sleek, brunette hair, so it’s always refreshing to see a little change.

Kim Kardashian Suffers Psoriasis Flare-Up All Over Her Face While Out & About — Pics

Kim Kardashian doesn’t have time for anyone calling her out for having a ‘bad skin day.’ It’s psoriasis, people! Kim explained on Twitter that she’s having a flareup of her chronic condition. Find out more here.

Kim Kardashian may be one of the richest and most fabulous women in the country, but even she sometimes has bad skin days. The KKW Beauty head was spotted by paparazzi grabbing lunch in Los Angeles on February 4 with what appeared to be an acne breakout on her face, covered up with makeup, and some were quick to point it out. The stories about it caused Kim to speak out on Twitter, saying, “It’s psoriasis all over my face.” She included the crying emoji in the tweet.

Kim has been very open about having psoriasis since she was diagnosed eight years ago, and never hides it from her fans. In an early KUWTK episode, Kim finds what appears to be a rash on her body. Khloe Kardashian makes fun of her, saying that she has ringworm. Not the case! Kim was diagnosed with psoriasis, a chronic, genetic condition that occurs “when the immune system sends out faulty signals that speed up the growth cycle of skin cells,” according to the National Psoriasis Foundation. Outbreaks generally occur on the scalp, knees, elbows and torso, and more infrequently, on the face, like Kim experienced the other day.

While psoriasis cannot be cured, there are treatments that keep outbreaks at bay, like topical ointments and systemic solutions. Her mom, Kris Jenner, also has psoriasis and you would never know it. Kris was diagnosed at age 30, just like Kim. While medically, she’s alright, psoriasis can be devastating emotionally. Who remembers that old KUWTK episode where poor Kim is trying to shoot a Sketchers ad and has psoriasis all over her legs? It was heartbreaking!

Maybe we could stop calling people out for skin conditions altogether? Kim’s little sister, Kendall Jenner, recently became the new spokesperson for acne treatment line Proactiv after being mocked for having zits at the 2018 Golden Globes.

Daily Expert: How to Beat—and Prevent—Back Pain

Dan Giordano, P.T., D.P.T., C.S.C.S., is a member of the Men’s Health Advisory Board.

One of the most frustrating injuries out there: Back pain.

It’s debilitating, shooting pains that can wreck you for days. But there are ways to beat all this, and even get ahead of the game, and that’s what I’m hoping to show you right now. And yes, I know you may be thinking right now that you don’t have back pain, so this isn’t a concern.

But trust me: there’s a good chance you’ll experience back pain at some point in your life. And these drills can save you in those situations — even help you avoid the slightest pangs of travel back pain altogether.

Click here to learn more about the Men’s Health expert advisory board.

Two Moves For Back Pain Prevention

Honing your back strength and mobility regularly will can help you avoid back pain. Do these stretches once or twice a week, when you’re not traveling, and they’ll prep your body to better handle the rigors of the road.

You won’t be able to do all these stretches in a plane or train, but you should master them.

Sitting Figure Four Stretch

While sitting, bend one knee and place your ankle on top of the other knee. While maintaining a neutral spine (do not round or hyperextend) lean forward to feel the stretch in your glutes. You may also lean towards the bent knee off the ground to feel a stretch in the lateral aspect of your glutes. Start with 10-seconds holds and progress to 30-second holds. Repeat 5 to 10 times on each side. (Pro-tip: Do this one while you’re traveling, if you can.)

Standing Hip Flexor Stretch

Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, and take a step forward with right foot. Your knee will be bent. Just make sure you don’t lunge too far forward; think “knee behind toes”. Straighten out your left leg, tightening the glute, lean forward to feel stretch on front side of the left leg. If you don’t feel the stretch, raise your left arm above your head and slightly lean to the other side. Start with 10-seconds holds and progress to 30-second holds. Repeat 5 to 10 times on each side.

Five Moves for Back Pain Relief

If you’re already having low back pain, give these exercises a shot. It’s important to find out which movements (flexion, extension, rotation) cause pain or discomfort and to avoid those movements, while continuing to work into ranges that are not provoking. If you combine this stability program with mobility work (foam rolling and stretching) you should be able to build a solid foundation to help prevent and/ or relieve low back pain.

Transverse Abdominis Pushdown

Lie on your back with your knees bent, legs in the air. Your thighs should be perpendicular to the floor. Your calves should be perpendicular to the floor. Now place your right palm on your right thigh and your left palm on your left thigh. Lift your shoulder blades and tuck your chin. Press your hands into your thighs and press your knees toward your shoulders, creating an isometric contraction. Do not hold your breath as you do this. (If you feel pain in your lower back when doing this, either lower your head to the ground or try moving your knees closer to your shoulders.) Hold for 5 to 10 seconds, then relax. Do 10 reps.

The basic plank is one of the best moves to insulate your body against back pain.

Get on the ground on all fours, knees directly below your hips, hands directly below your shoulders. Keep your core tight and keep your gaze toward the ground. Reach your right arm out as far as possible and kick your left leg back simultaneously; squeeze your glutes as you do this. Keep your core tight; work to keep both shoulders and hips square to the ground. Return to the start. Repeat 10 times on each side.

Banded Bridges

Lie on your back with your knees bent and your feet flat. Place a resistance band above your knees, and press out on the band, opening your legs. Continue pressing out throughout this movement. Brace your core and squeeze your glutes, then raise your hips. Your goal is to create a straight line from torso through thighs. Keep your heels on the ground as you do this. Return to the start. That’s 1 rep; do 10 per side.

Your Back Pain Travel Rules

Even if you’ve never had general back pain, there’s a good chance you’ve experienced slight pangs of it when you travel. Why? Because everything about long-distance travel in planes, trains, and even cars seems designed to aggravate our lumbar area.

The seats in airplanes, cars, and trains simply aren’t designed to be comfortable, period, so they’re even worse for you when you’re struggling with back pain. Hamstrings and hip flexors stiffen, making for hours of pain, and you feel it when you try to get out of that seat after the trip.

To avoid all that, keep these tips in mind when you hit the road.

One key to both avoiding and alleviating back pain: Move. The more you move around, the better. Dr. John J. Michalisin Jr., M.D., a clinical assistant professor of physical medicine and rehabilitation at the NYU School of Medicine recommends that you “try to move around and change positions frequently.”

So every 30 minutes, get up. Set an alarm to make sure you do it when you fly or take the train. You only need to do it for 60 seconds, but stand up, stretch your arms overhead, and “dethaw” your body so it doesn’t grow frozen and tight in bad positions. You’ll commonly get up from your seat with tight pecs from hunching slightly, and tight hip flexors from having your legs bent for so long.

Ponder Your Sitting Posture

Make sure your butt is all the way back in the chair and shoulder blades against the chair. “Do not sit forward. Sitting while leaning forward, causes an increase in intradiscal pressure”, says Michalsin.

If you can adjust the sit, make sure your knees are in line with your hips or slightly lower. If you are still uncomfortable try rolling up a towel (or your sweatshirt) and position it between your lower back and the seat, helping to maintain the natural curvature of your spine.

Lift Smartly

Getty ImagesCarsten Schanter / EyeEm

The more you pack, the more you have to carry. When putting luggage above your seat, perform this in steps. Squat down, pick up the luggage keeping the luggage close to your body (the further away from the body it moves, the further your center of gravity moves away from your base of support).

Never twist when you are holding your luggage, instead pivot your feet to get where you need to be. As you lift the luggage overhead, use your legs and stabilize your core.

Best Foot Masks & Creams Your Dry, Chapped Feet Will Appreciate

One of our favorite wintertime activities is throwing a pair of thick socks over just-moisturized feet. Because while we love going to the spa and having our feet rubbed down, actually getting to the salon when it’s below zero degrees outside is like searching for a needle in a haystack: really difficult and the type of needless suffering we try to avoid. For that reason, we have some of the best foot masks on deck to make our self-care sesh a lot more convenient but equally effective.

Like hand masks, foot mittens aren’t exactly necessary. You can always slather your skin in Vaseline or some other heavy ointment when flaking and ash become an issue. It’s also way more affordable than investing in a special treatment. But that’s just it; they’re not special. And as far as we’re concerned, you deserve special things… like a nourishing foot mask that forces you to put your feet up and stay hydrated from head-to-toe, literally.

There are peels that take days to kick in, but ultimately shed skin beyond belief. And then there are heavy-duty lotions that work best with overnight use. Ahead are options for both.

Our mission at SheKnows is to empower and inspire women, and we only feature products we think you’ll love as much as we do. Please note that if you purchase something by clicking on a link within this story, we may receive a small commission of the sale.

A Star Is Born Might Miss Out on That Oscar After All, Because This Lip Art Already Won

We’ll happily take any excuse to gab about A Star Is Born over and over again. Luckily for us, makeup artist Ryan Kelly just gave beauty enthusiasts an incredible reason to relive those turbulent emotions all over again.

Kelly has blown us away before with her painstakingly intricate designs. This year alone, she’s treated us to Bird Box lip art that might make you question whether you’re looking at the real Sandra Bullock, then delivered Golden Girls lips giving a new meaning to detail.

We’re pretty certain she didn’t listen to the soundtrack while doing this design, because, well, it would almost definitely have resulted in a teary mess. *plays “Shallow” on repeat for rest of the day*
