Noel and Sue Radford have announced that the family is “taking a break” from filming.
Noel and Sue, who are proud parents to 22 children (and counting), shared the news on the family’s Facebook page as they thanked fans for their ongoing support.
“We just want to say a huge thank you for all the love and support you’ve shown throughout our series, we truly appreciate each and every comment and message we’ve received so thank you,” Sue and Noel began.
“So chuffed to say our programme was no.1 on ch5 most Sundays and doing really well on my5 with it being the most watched programme on my5.”
They continued: “We are currently having a well earned little break from filming before heading into filming series 4 which we are very excited about.”
Fans have since commented on their post as they gushed over Britain’s biggest family and their popular programme.
“I think you are an amazing family can’t wait for your next series,” wrote one, as someone else said: “I've loved following your family over the years. Keep keeping it real, looking forward to the next chapter/series."
Another added: “Brilliant programme with your Brilliant (massive) family. We love your show and can't wait for the next series. Hard working proper family. Enjoy your break. All the very best."
A fourth went on: “I have really enjoyed watching your programme, as parents you are amazing, don’t know how you do it and such a loving family."
Sue and Noel have been together for three decades, and recently reflected on a particularly difficult period of their marriage that almost resulted in divorce.
On their hit Channel 5 show, the pair were filmed visiting numerous different locations that have special meanings in their relationship – including the site of their first joint business, a bakery, where Noel had trained as a baker.
He had invested in the property, which was located in a small parade near Morecambe, with the intent of transforming it into a bakery and sandwich shop, and Sue had pitched in to help.
The family business ran smoothly for two years until in 2001 when the couple made the decision to pack up shop and invest in a prime high-street location instead, something Noel claims was "the worst thing I ever did" as it almost caused him and Sue to call time on their marriage as the move caused their business to decline.
