22 Kids And Counting: Noel and Sue remember their son Alfie
Sue Radford was left “fearful” and traumatised after her life flashed before her when she was left choking while on holiday in Florida.
The 22 Kids and Counting TV fave had been tucking into a seafood boil at a restaurant when her airways were suddenly blocked by a prawn – and were it not for her quick-thinking daughter Katie, she’s unsure what would have happened.
“I literally saw my life flash in front of me until @katieeradfordd saw me choking and slammed me on the back a few times until [the prawn] came flying out,” the 48-year-old shared on Instagram with over half a million followers.
She shared a photo of the feast that caused the drama, while explaining how fortunate it was that her daughter “knew what to do”.
“Gosh this was so scary – I’ve never choked before but [now] know what to do with kids if this happens,” she shared.

“I [was] trying to hand gesture to everyone that I’m choking. Thank God Katie was sat next to me!”
She added in an Instagram stories slide: “Choking is my biggest fear and it was awful!”
Katie’s intervention to dislodge the prawn and save her mum had been so forceful that a huge hand print mark was left on her back – and the youngster shared the shocking picture on her own account afterwards.
The brood have been staying in luxurious accommodation in Florida, although not everyone is present.

21-year-old Millie – the sixth child of Sue and her husband Noel – is notably absent from the celebrations, although some have put this down to the fact that she is now heavily pregnant.
Sue, who describes her brood as “Britain’s biggest family”, shared a photo of her little ones dancing in the street and queuing for ice-cream, which she revealed had cost them $80 USD (more than £62).
She also shared a photo of five of the younger kids all tucked up together in their parents’ bed as they watched a show on TV.
The insight into how the enormous family navigate life has had the nation hooked, with millions tuning in to watch each episode – and their antics in Florida have been equally interesting.
The family also made a trip there four months ago, when they stayed in a villa close to Disney Park.
They later admitted they were having a bad case of the “Disney blues” and couldn’t wait to return – and now they have.
Some social media critics have trolled Sue and her family, accusing them of using state benefits to afford their lifestyle, but she has adamantly denied that suggestion.
The TV star earns money from show appearances and the family’s YouTube channel, as well as Noel’s bakery.
