Singer Aled Jones was reportedly robbed of his watch while he was on a street near his West London home with his 18-year-old son, Lucas.
On July 7, Aled, 52, was allegedly targeted by a 16-year-old boy carrying a machete. The teenager reportedly threatened him and demanded he hand over his Rolex Daytona.
A source claims that the Classic FM presenter handed over his expensive watch in fear that he or his son could be harmed.
They told The Sun: “Aled was totally shocked as it came out of nowhere and all happened so fast.
“The robber threatened him with the machete and demanded the Rolex. Luckily Aled was savvy enough not to put up a fight for the watch while he was having a deadly weapon waved at him.”
The source added that while Aled was “shaken” by the incident, he was “relieved” neither he nor Lucas were hurt.
They concluded: “They got home safely to the rest of their family. You can replace a watch and everyone realised it could have been a lot worse.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Aled’s representatives for comment.
