Alex Reid and his fiancée Nikki Manashe have welcomed their ‘miracle’ twin babies, after a traumatic pregnancy and a gruelling seven-year IVF battle.
Nikki, 36, gave birth by caesarean section to their non-identical sons on Wednesday and revealed their unique names – Phoenix Bobby and Hunter George – in an exclusive chat with MailOnline.
It is a tremendous feat for the couple who were told by doctors their boys had just a 1% chance of survival when Nikki’s waters broke unexpectedly 18 weeks into the pregnancy.
The influencer, who goes by ivf_mama_nikki on Instagram, said the moment she held her sons for the first time was ‘magic’ after ‘a decade of crying and sadness, heartache and pain’ from their struggle to conceive.
‘To just have them in my arms. I am complete now. I have my family and I never need to revisit that dark place again,’ Nikki said.

‘All those different surgeries from miscarrying and injecting myself. All those hospital appointments. It was worth it.’
Nikki and Alex, 47, who was previously married to Katie Price, welcomed their first child Anastasia in 2021 after a seven-year IVF battle and six miscarriages. Alex is also father to Dolly, eight, from his past relationship with Chantelle Houghton.
Last year, Nikki, who was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition and put on the right medication to help her become a mum, fell pregnant with twins after she was implanted with two embryos.
One was seven-years-old while the other embroyo was one remaining from her IVF cycle from when she fell pregnant with her daughter.
The pregnancy was going well until 18 weeks in, Nikki suffered a Premature Rupture Of Membranes (PROM), leading to a high risk of sepsis and going into labour early.
The couple were advised to terminate because of the risk to Nikki’s life, but, desperate to be a mother-of-three, she determinably carried on with her twins who defied all odds.
At 36 weeks, Nikki had a C-section after water levels dropped in Phoenix’s amniotic sac.
The influencer admitted she was terrified to have the operation and the sheer relief of having Phoenix and Hunter delivered safely after such a traumatic pregnancy is overwhelming.

She said: ‘I thought if I die here and have brought them into this world, I’ve done my job.
‘It’s ok done what I’ve wanted to do which is bring them here safely. I’m so proud of myself. It is such a relief for me.
‘I never have to go through pregnancy again. I can chose a dark chapter of my life.’
Nikki said Alex was equally as worried when she was wheeled to the operating theatre, but could hear his cries of joy when he saw his boys for the first time.
She said: ‘He was really nervous, really scared for them. All I could hear was “my boys”. He was very overwhelmed.’
Explaining the reason behind the name Phoenix Bobby, who was born weighing 4lbs 8oz, Nikki said: ‘The name is perfect for him. He continued to grow against all odds, his waters broke.
‘His name represents strength, resilience, determination. He rose from the ashes and came out stronger than ever.’

Phoenix’s middle name, Bobby, is a moving tribute to Alex’s father Bob who passed away from a brain tumour some years ago.
Hunter George, meanwhile, was born weighing 5lbs 8oz and is named after Nikki’s grandfather and great uncle.
The influencer, who is still in hospital, revealed both boys are doing well but are on antibiotics as a precaution and are undergoing blood tests.
She said: ‘The boys are ok, they are so tiny. The premature baby grows are a tiny bit too big.
‘They both have cannulas in their hands and they’re all wrapped up in bandages and bruised because they are so little.
‘They have a little bit of jaundice, just because they were a bit premature. They’re feeding ok.’
Nikki is looking forward to returning home to her daughter and Alex to start their exciting new chapter.
‘I can focus on happy times moving forward. I can’t express the kind of love. Being a mum is all I’ve ever, ever wanted in life.
‘Here I am. It’s taken time,’ she said.
