Alexandra Burke breaks down as she discusses privacy of child
Alexandra Burke, 34, and Darren Randolph, 35, welcomed their first child together in July last year, adorably referring to their tot only as “baby grape”, to keep the gender and name private.
Now, the former The X Factor winner and Irish footballer revealed they’re “excited to do this all again”, as they confirmed they are now expecting baby number two.
On Tuesday morning, Alexandra shared some sweet snaps with her 268,000 followers on Instagram as she posed in jeans and a white bra, showing off her new baby bump and pregnancy glow.
In the snaps, the happy couple were clearly elated as a shirtless Darren cradled Alexandra’s stomach, both with mile-wide smiles.
Alexandra sent her fans into a frenzy as she wrote: “We are so excited to do this all again.”

A slew of celebrities lined up to congratulate the happy couple in the comments section, including the likes of AJ Odudu, Vicky Pattison and Nicola McLean.
Strictly Come Dancing judge Motsi Mabuse joked about how fast the Burke-Randolph family is growing writing: “Wow, girl wait for us,” with some laughing emojis.
Actress Dawn French shared a celebratory “woohoo” while presenter Lisa Snowdown added: “Yay! Huge congratulations darling.”
The latest announcement echoed some bump photoshoots Alexandra shared last year when she was pregnant with “baby grape”.

In a sweet post before they welcomed their first little one, the singer wrote to Darren on Instagram: “Happy Father’s Day to my love. Words can’t describe how much I love and adore you… you’re going to be the best daddy to our little grape. “
Two weeks later, Alexandra announced she had given birth with an adorable snap of her little one’s tiny feet, writing: “Welcome to the world our little grape. We already love you more than words can say.”
The happy couple started dating in early 2021, although they had both risen to fame decades earlier.
Alexandra won the 2008 series of The X Factor and went on to forge an enviable career in music and has since become a West End star, currently rocking the stage as Deloris Van Cartier in Sister Act: The Musical.
Darren on the other hand began his professional football career in 2003 and is currently a goalkeeper for premier league club AFC Bournemouth and for the Republic of Ireland’s national team.
