AceShowbiz –Anne Heche‘s representative has shared a health update amid her hospitalization. Just one day after the former “Hung” star got into a fiery car crash in Los Angeles, her rep declared that she is currently in a “stable” condition.
“Anne is currently in stable condition,” the rep said in a statement shared on Saturday, August 6. “Her family and friends ask for your thoughts and prayers and to respect her privacy during this difficult time.”
The incident took place on Friday. According to TMZ, Anne was driving a blue Mini Cooper when she crashed into the garage of an apartment complex in the Mar Vista area. Some residents reportedly tried to get her out of her car but she put it in reverse and then sped off. Not long after that, she crashed into another home, which started a fire that engulfed the building.
“The vehicle was heading east on Preston Way at a high rate of speed, entered the T intersection at Preston Way and Walgrove Ave, ran off the road and collided with the residence in the 1700 block of Walgrove,” a Los Angeles Police Department spokesperson said in a statement. “The vehicle became engulfed in flames and the driver was transported to a local hospital by LAFD.”
Firefighters used cables from a massive tow truck to pull the car out of the burning home. Team leader Mandel, a veteran of many such incidents, said while evacuating Anne, “If there’s somebody alive in there this is going to be a miracle.”
It looks like the 53-year-old-year-old actress, who came to recognition portraying Vicky Hudson and Marley Love in the soap opera “Another World”, was under the influence of alcohol. One photo taken before the accident showed that there was a bottle with a red cap in the car’s cup holder. However, doctors were unable to perform alcohol blood testing with her condition.
