The Antiques Road Trip presenters were left gobsmacked when an item sold for 11 times its purchase price at auction during a recent episode.
Show hosts Irita Marriott and Mark Hill, jumped up and down with joy as the £20 item sold for an ‘amazing’ profit.
During the series, the duo travel around the country in their vintage car as they scour Antique shops for items to flog.
As their money pots rolled over from the previous episode, Irita started the show with £570.80 while Mark fell behind with £114.78.
But Mark’s luck soon changed when he stumbled upon vintage London Bus signs and went on to make a huge profit.

Looking through objects in a small shop in Markyate, Hertfordshire, the expert noticed the signs which had a ‘bit of an East London theme.’
‘These are off a London bus, these would have sat on the front inside a frame telling you where the bus was going,’ Mark explained.
‘Inside there would have been a little handle where the driver would turn to change the destination.
‘So what have we got? Romford, Romford Station, we have got Cambridge Heath, we’ve got a bit of an East London theme.
‘I can see these would be interesting to a lot of people and I am loving this East End vibe going on.
‘Imagine cutting these up and then framing them all and displaying them on a wall and they are not that common either.’
The signs only cost Mark £20 each, happy with his find he took them to the W&H Peacock Auction Centre, to see how they would fair.
Auctioneer Lindsay Taylor began: ‘We have got tonnes of bids on commission. I’m going to have to start at £140.’

‘What! I’ll take that!’ Mark explained, already shocked at the starting price while as the auctioneer continued increasing the price.
‘God! Mark, this is amazing!’ Amy gushed while Mark added: ‘Oh my goodness!’
