GBBO: Laura Adlington swears after bake goes wrong
Laura Adlington has shared she is “struggling” to deal with nasty comments on her lingerie-clad Instagram photos.
The 33-year-old, who was a finalist on the 2020 series of Great British Bake Off, added that she has had enough of the “superficial” app.
On Instagram, in view of her 280,000 followers, she typed: “I’m really struggling at the moment to be honest. Have been for a little while.
“Feel like I’ve fallen out of love with this app and the superficialness of it all.
She added: “I’ve also been feeling really s*** since finding out some people in my life ‘don’t agree’ with what I’m doing and think I’m ‘promoting obesity’.

“Pretty hard to hear it from strangers on the internet, let alone people in your extended family.
“I just feel a bit battered to be honest.
“I know people often follow posts like this with ‘I’m not after sympathy’…but as I’ve been very open and vulnerable I’ll continue to be honest and say…some sympathy would be really lovely right now.”
She finished: “Thank you for your love and all your support. You will never know what it means to me.”

Immediately, fans took to the comments section to offer Laura all their support.
One commented: “Laura you help us all more than you will ever know.
“You are doing women the world of justice day by day, by just being yourself.”
Another said: ”I hope you take a second to realise how many people you’ve inspired through standing for what you believe in and just being yourself.
“You’re flipping fabulous.”
Laura previously used her social media pages to call out “fancy spas” for not providing bathrobes in inclusive sizes.
The baker posted a clip of herself on Instagram wearing a white robe that could not be closed at the front.
The too-small robe that she was provided with left her front more exposed.
She wrote in text over the clip: “Dear fancy spas… Bigger people want to enjoy the treatments too.
“Please make your robes inclusive. It really ruins the experience for us when they don’t fit.”
