‘Glad you’re keeping us abreast of the news!’ BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent leaves fans in hysterics as she accidentally flashes lingerie-clad model on newspaper
BBC Breakfast host Sally Nugent left viewers in hysterics after accidentally flashing a raunchy Page 3 photo while reading the headlines on Tuesday, just after 6am.
The broadcaster, 51, held up an image of a lingerie-clad model by mistake while discussing an article on the other side of the unfortunately-folded newspaper.
Taking to Twitter, fans of the show questioned ‘who folded the paper’ while joking that she had kept them ‘abreast’ of the news.

Her co-star Jon Kay, 52, couldn’t contain his laughter as she told viewers about the story regarding a house for sale which comes with a camel in the back garden.
He joked, ‘I don’t think anyone’s talking about the back garden,’ however a confused Sally replied, ‘I didn’t see… what happened?’
‘There’s something on the back of the page. Don’t worry, just carry on,’ Jon awkwardly concluded.

But the gaffe hadn’t gone unnoticed, with viewers writing: ‘Glad to see that you’re keeping us abreast of the news,’ as well as, ‘The cluedo question is “who folded that paper”.
Others chimed in with, ‘I too love showing off my holiday snaps, Sally,’ and, ‘Someone is on their last day of work #page3.’
Two concluded, ‘No one cares about the house now… #BBCBreakfast,’ and ,’You can sense the moment someone said in Sally’s ear “CHANGE THE ANGLE YOU’RE HOLDING THAT NEWSPAPER.”’
Sally was announced as the a permanent presenter on the morning news programme in October 2021, taking over from Louise Minchin.
She had been filling in for BBC Breakfast’s regular hosts on a freelance basis since November 2011 and also presents its sports bulletins.
Sally said at the time: ‘I’m absolutely thrilled to become the new presenter of BBC Breakfast and bring the nation the latest news, top entertainment guests and stories that matter every week.
‘It’s an honour to take the reins from Louise and be part of the UK’s most-watched breakfast show.’
