BBC Breakfast’s Sally Nugent ‘splits’ from husband of 13 years

Sally Nugent interrupts MP on BBC Breakfast over policing numbers

BBC Breakfast presenter Sally Nugent has reportedly split from her husband Gavin Hawthorn. The couple, who have a teenage son, have “amicably” decided to go their separate ways after “moving in different directions”, a source told MailOnline.

Gavin has reportedly moved out of their £1.4million home in Cheshire.

The insider claimed: “It’s very sad but they are no longer together. I think they tried to tough it out for quite a while as they didn’t want to split up if they could possibly help it for the sake of their son but they clearly couldn’t make a go of it.

“They’ve both been very guarded about the reasons behind their growing apart but it’s been plain for a while that they had been.”

Express.co.uk has contacted Sally’s representatives for comment.

Little is known about the 51-year-old’s husband. Her biography on the BBC Breakfast website simply says: “Sally is married with one child – a football and rugby mad boy.”

She did give a rare insight into their wedding day back in 2021 with a framed photograph spotted in the background of one of her Instagram posts.

In the black and white snap of a bride and groom, which is though to be Sally and Gavin, the presenter can be seen wearing a beautiful A-line bridal gown as she held hands with Gavin.
