BBC launches UK’s first ever gay dating show I Kissed A Boy where host Dannii Minogue will play cupid
Dating shows remain a firm favourite in the reality TV stakes, from Love Island’s bikini-clad beauties to Married At First Sight’s shocking weddings.
But despite the seemingly vast array of programmes there has been a notable lack of LGBTQ+ representation, until now.
The BBC is set to launch the UK’s first ever gay dating show, I Kissed A Boy, this weekend.
Fronted by Dannii Minogue, the show sees 10 single guys matched up and meeting for the first time with a kiss.
Ahead of the series launch on BBC Three on Saturday May 13, the trailer see’s Dannii exclaim ‘Buongiorno boys!’ as the singletons meet for the first time in Italy.

Narrator Layton Williams announces: ‘The path to love is never straight. It’s loud, it’s proud… and it all starts with a kiss.’
The hopeful’s will enter the villa in pairs, and without uttering a single word to each other, will start their dating journey with a kiss.
Through a series of Kiss-Offs they will test chemistry and will have a choice whether to stay in their current partnership or move on and give another boy a snog.
The eight-part series will see the contestants paired with their strongest match but ‘everyone is a possible love interest’ so things can change rather quick.
With plenty of drama, I Kissed A Boy will also provide ‘powerful untold stories’ and explore ‘the pressures of dating’ within the gay scene.
The BBC teases: ‘Will it be a polite peck? Or a passionate snog? And ultimately, will that first kiss lead to love?’
