The former star of ‘The Real Housewives of New York City’ declares that she is not afraid of calling out the famous family just because Kris Jenner ‘is the mafia and controls a lot of the media.’
AceShowbiz –Bethenny Frankel is not a big fan of the Kardashian family and she has no problem making it clear. In a clip circulating online, the “The Real Housewives of New York City” alum explained why we need a “Kardashian intermission.”
“We need a Kardashian intermission,” the 51-year-old businesswoman declared. “And I’ve honestly been afraid to say it. It’s not because [Kris Jenner] is the mafia and controls a lot of the media, because I don’t give a f**k, cancel me.”
Bethenny then fumed, “What are we saying to our kids? What is the message? Take it all? Be as rich as possible? Filter as much as possible? Be as fake as much as possible. Brag as much as possible?” She further pressed, “Be self-involved and take pictures of yourself that make you look in the best life possible? … Get plastic surgery and lie about it as much as possible?”
Just days prior, Bethenny slammed the Kardashians for their “irresponsible” Photoshop use. When speaking to TMZ on September 2, she suggested that the family’s social media uploads are “not fair to women just trying to get by,” calling them “irresponsible” and “reckless.”
“Moms feel insecure. … They don’t have time to do all this [Photoshop], nor they even know how to [with] the technology,” Bethenny further elaborated. She went on to say that women also feel that they “can’t compete” with Kim Kardashian, Khloe Kardashian, Kourtney Kardashian, Kris and Kylie Jenner.
“The more we see these images, the more we think they’re real. It becomes a false ideal,” the TV personality continued. “It’s not inspirational, it’s not aspirational. It creates eating disorders, insecurity, depression. It’s a serious thing.”
Bethenny then advised the Kardashians to “wear some makeup” and “be honest” about their plastic surgery instead of “outright lying” about filtering and Photoshopping. “The playing field becomes not level,” she continued. “When you’re already billionaires, you have access to so much more … and it makes people feel terrible about themselves.
