Chart-topping singer-songwriter Billie Eilish has some new ink to show off.
Dumping a gallery of photos onto Instagram on Wednesday, in one of them, the 21-year-old could be seen lying facedown on a tattoo parlour table with the camera capturing a massive design that covered the entire length of her back. It consisted of intricately weaved, sharp black patterns snaking down the spinal column.
In the comment section, Billie's fanbase seemed torn over her tattoo reveal, with several individuals responding: "oh my god", "That Back Tattoo", "theee back tattooooo?", "TATTOO REVEAL OMFG".
Another fan was keen to see more of the ink and wrote: "Please show us the fully coloured in version of your tattoo as it looks absolutely killer".
While speaking to Vanity Fair back in 2021, the What Was I Made For? songstress revealed she'd had her surname tattooed across her chest; three "fairy guardian angels" on her hand, and a "big boy" Chinese dragon displayed up her hip, although the majority of Billie's body art hasn't been seen in its full glory.
"No face tattoos, the only tattoos I wanna get are the ones barely anyone can see," she said.
"I love tattoos! My mum [sitting out of camera shot] has her hands on her head, look at the way she's sitting… rude mum! Be supportive! My mum hates tattoos – no I'm not gonna be all tatted up but I, you know, have some more ideas.
"Right now I feel pretty satisfied, I feel like in a good zone with them. I felt the urge for a while and now I'm like, aaahhh."
This comes after the superstar clapped straight back at some trolls for targeting her evolving fashion sense, having consciously moved from baggier attire to more traditionally feminine wardrobe choices.
"Letter to some comments I be seeing sometimes. I spent the first five years of my career getting absolutely obliterated by you fools for being boyish and dressing how I did and constantly being told I'd be hotter if I acted like a woman," she defiantly captioned a selfie.
"And now when I feel comfortable enough to wear anything remotely feminine or fitting, I 'changed' and am a 'sell-out' and 'what happened to her… it's not the same Billie, she's just like the rest' blah blah blah. You guys are true idiots LOL. I can be both you f***ing bozos. Let women exist."
Meanwhile, just last month, Billie soldiered through a particularly tough gig at the Electric Picnic festival in Ireland.
Feeling "really, really sick" and "honestly really suffering" ahead of her packed-out set, she asked fans to drive her on, pleading via social media: "You know me and you know that I wouldn't cancel a show even if I was like literally dying… (this does feel pretty close tho lol) but the show must go on.
"I will see you tonight! But please keep in mind that I am trying my best and I'm gonna need your help tonight. Go hard for me."
