Brooke’s posts come after Jacki shut down her claims that she didn’t reach out to Brooke after finding out about the passing of her ‘Basketball Wives’ co-star’s daughter Kayla.
AceShowbiz –Brooke Bailey is still coming at Jackie Christie even though the latter shared receipts proving that she did reach out to Brooke after her daughter’s passing. On her Instagram account, Brooke continued slamming her “Basketball Wives” co-star for her “generic text.”
“Like I said yesterday @jackiechristie sent a very generic text,” she wrote on Instagram Stories on Wednesday, May 10. She attached a screenshot of her own tweet which read, “And to be clear @JackieChristie sent me a very generic text days after my daughter passed. But the friendship that I thought we developed behind the scenes I expected so much from her. She knows this. We also discussed it at the reunion.”
In another slide, Brooke said, “ima let god fix it, cause if i fix it i’m going to jail,” while tagging Jackie’s account. Not stopping there, Brooke claimed that Jackie “was on my phone calling me 2-3 times a week prior to Kayla passing. Laughing, talking and trying to do a podcast with me. When Kayla passed she sent more messages through @brittishwilliams and @brandimaxwiell. @jackiechristie & I built a friendship contrary to what most people think.”
The VH1 star also addressed Jackie’s DM with Taylor Renee. “She DM’ed @tyler_renee_ and told me at the reunion that she doesn’t do funerals. So why did you ask to be put in the list @jackiechristie,” she said. Brooke also alleged that Jackie “never spoke to @tyler_renee_ on the phone or myself!!!”
Upon catching wind of Brooke’s posts, some fans didn’t see something wrong with how Jackie responded to the heartbreaking news. “I mean Jackie texted once with no reply…. then still sent another one. This is a stretch. at least she made an attempt,” one user wrote in an Instagram comment.
“I mean she did reach out , so what more was she expecting? I thought she said she didn’t say anything?” another fan said. Similarly, one other commented, “Jackie reached out TWICE. I don’t see why she’s being dragged for being a bad friend.”
Some others, meanwhile, suggested that Brooke misdirected her anger to a wrong person. “I feel really bad because I think Brooke is just grieving and Jackie is catching hell for it. I hate that Jackie probably really feels terrible about what happened but she’s getting beat up now Just sad all around. I love them both,” one person opined. “Misdirected anger. I can’t even remember all who showed up for my mother’s funeral because I was that devastated. This is sad,” another added.
Brooke’s posts came after Jackie took to Instagram to shut down Brooke’s claims that she didn’t reach out to Brooke after finding out about the passing of her co-star’s daughter. “Really hope everyone stop spreading lies & hate about such a sensitive topic,” Jackie wrote on Tuesday. “I’m truly disappointed the narrative being spun in such a way to insinuate or say I Did Not [phone emoji] call Her On the Very morning we all found out.”
She went on saying, “as I said at the reunion I spoke to Tyler and sent my love prayers and condolences I was assured she would reach out when she felt up to it. I then text & dm’d several times after and received back messages when the service came I don’t do well with them so I didn’t go and found out at the reunion my absence was missed and I apologized period.”
“At this juncture I’m done Going back and forth we spoke and moved on at BBbwla Reunion,” so she concluded.
