AceShowbiz –Cardi B won’t let Tasha K off the hook. After the blogger filed for bankruptcy as she lost their libel case, the “Bodak Yellow” hitmaker reportedly subpoenaed the latter’s husband to get the $4 million owed to her.
According to court documents obtained by HipHopDX, the 30-year-old demanded a “subpoena duces tecum” on Cheickna Kebe on Tuesday, June 18. A subpoena duces tecum is “a type of subpoena that requires the witness to produce a document or documents pertinent to a proceeding,” per Cornell Law School.
The written order would allow the “WAP” raptress, through her lawyers, to review all financial assets of Tasha and her spouse. The examination is set to take place on August 7 in Miami and will be recorded on video as well as entered as part of Tasha’s bankruptcy filing.
“The examination may continue from day to day until completed,” so read the order. “If the examinee receives this notice less than 14 days prior to the scheduled examination date, the examination will be rescheduled upon timely request to a mutually agreeable time.”
Tasha filed for bankruptcy in May. According to court documents obtained by RadarOnline.com at the time, a Georgia judge ordered the Grammy winner to stand down on her efforts while Tasha straightens out her situation. The YouTuber herself admitted that she had no more than $95 in her Chase account when filing for bankruptcy.
Cardi was of 30 debtors notified about Tasha’s Chapter 11 filing. Among those who were made aware were reportedly the IRS, the Broward County Tax Collector, the Florida Department of Revenue and Bank of America. The filing halts all collection efforts as of June 2 while the courts sort out Tasha’s finances.
