Celine Dion cancels Summer 2023 shows after rare diagnosis
Céline Dion fans have been blown away by the singer’s healthy appearance as she stepped out in public for the first time in over three years.
On Monday, the Canadian performer attended a hockey game at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, cheering on her hometown team the Montreal Canadiens as they took on the Vegas Golden Knights.
This is the first time the My Heart Will Go On singer, 55, has been pictured in public since announcing her stiff-person syndrome diagnosis in 2022.
The team’s vice president Chantal Machabee shared the new image of Dion smiling alongside her on Instagram.
She captioned the post: “Nice visit at our game in Vegas yesterday.

“Thank you @celinedion for your great generosity. The whole team was very happy to meet you and your family.”
Monreal Canadiens’ official Instagram page has also shared several snaps of Dion meeting a number of their players.
The singer looked radiant in white, donning a winter-appropriate gilet and matching white watch, and layered up with a light beige sweater.
She kept her hair in a smart bun and smiled at the camera throughout her surprise visit.

And another replied: “Thank you so much for posting and letting us know that Céline is doing well.”
Dion revealed her diagnosis in December 2022 after she was forced to delay her shows in Las Vegas, cancelling her remaining North American concerts to focus on her health earlier this year.
Her sister Claudette has since been sharing updates on the singer’s condition, telling fans that Dion has been struggling to find the right medication.
In Le Journal de Montreal, she disclosed: “When I call her and she’s busy, I speak to my sister Linda who lives with her and tells me that she’s working hard.
“She’s listening to the top researchers in the field of this rare disease as much as possible.
“I honestly think that she mostly needs to rest. She always goes above and beyond, she always tries to be the best and top of her game.
“At one point, your heart and your body are trying to tell you something. It’s important to listen to it.”
