Charlotte Dawson has opened up about her baby son Jude's terrifying hospital dash, revealing her fiancé Matt Sarsfield was hospitalised just weeks after the tot.
Mum-of-two Charlotte, 31, who shares sons Noah, two, and five month old Jude with rugby player Matt, 32, admitted her family has been under a "lot of pressure lately" with both Matt and Jude being unwell over recent months while she's been so busy with work.
The reality TV star explained that Matt suffered complications after an operation and wound up in hospital for several days, leaving her to be a "solo parent" which she found "really tough".
“There’s been a lot of pressure lately. Matt had an operation that went wrong, he was in absolute agony and ended up in hospital for few days. It was really tough trying to solo parent," Charlotte told Closer magazine.
She added: "I was starting panto rehearsals that week and had jobs in London to get to, but I’m lucky we have a good family network around us. There’s never a dull moment in my house!”
The 31 year old is starring in Beauty and the Beast as the Glamorous Stepmother. The panto began on 28 November and will finish on Christmas Eve.
In October, Charlotte revealed baby Jude had been hospitalised after he was diagnosed with RSV bronchitis at just seven weeks old. She shared the terrifying ordeal on social media in a bid to raise awareness of the illness.
Doctors told Charlotte her son like just had a cold, but she rushed him to A&E after noticing his skin had gone "really grey" and he woke up screaming. She's now said that medics informed her had she waited longer to bring Jude into the hospital, things could have been a lot worse.
Jude, who was hooked up to oxygen for six days in total, thankfully made a full recovery and was soon back at home with his parents and older brother. Charlotte branded her five-month-old son a "miracle" and said his hospitalisation put "everything into perspective".
Charlotte welcomed Jude with fiancé Matt at the end of July 2023, two and a half years after welcoming son Noah. The couple document their family life on social media, with Charlotte boasting 1.4 million followers on social media.
