AceShowbiz –Chloe Bailey finally released “Surprise” along with its official music video. In the Diana Kunst-directed visuals, the one-half of Chloe x Halle gets cozy with model Broderick Hunter, who seemingly stars as her love interest.
The 23-year-old singer and the Fontana actor look so smitten when spending time together at their house. At some points, the R&B wears nothing but black planties as she lay in her bed alone.
“Give me your money, baby, I’ll make it rain for you,” the older sister of Halle Bailey sings over a heavy bass beat. “Feel like you cheatin’ the positions I play for you/ Surprise, tonight you get my freaky side.”
Chloe dropped the song and its visuals just days after she shared the track’s cover art on Instagram. In the snap posted on June 14, she wore nothing more but some icy jewelry while cozying up on what looks like a bed. She captioned it, “surprise! i’m dropping very soon, can you guess the date? 6/??/22 pre-save link in bio.”
The new track follows Chloe’s latest single, “Treat Me”, which was released on April 8. “Treat me like I treat me (Treat me, baby)/ And you know I do it right,” she sings towards the end of the song. “Treat me like I treat me/ Oh, I make me feel so nice.”
Chloe is expected to release her debut album later this year. When teasing the Scott Storch-produced project, she told Billboard that she hopes the studio record will inspire people to accept who they truly are.
“No matter if people are saying I’m doing too much, it’s OK, because that’s who I am,” Beyonce Knowles‘ protege revealed to the outlet. “I’m not forcing it or being anyone different. If I listened to what people said or what they told me and if I dumbed it down, that’s when I’m not being myself.”
