Chris Stapleton’s 2 Oldest Kids Supported Him at the 2023 Super Bowl — Meet the Whole Family
When Chris Stapleton performed the national anthem at the 2023 Super Bowl, his family was right there supporting him. Stapleton’s two oldest kids, Waylon and Ada, showed up at the Feb. 12 game to cheer the country star on, along with his wife Morgane Stapleton.
It’s been a long journey to sports biggest night for Morgane and Chris. The pair tied the knot in 2007, and they share five children: Waylon, Ada, Macon, Samuel, and a fifth child whose name hasn’t yet been revealed. The family generally prefers to keep the kids away from the cameras. “I signed up for this, my children did not. I am a very private person, and in that respect, I keep my children out of it,” Chris told The Boot in 2018. “They’re children, and they deserve the chance to be children.”

Waylon Stapleton
Waylon was born in 2009, per People, and he and his younger sister Ada have attended a number of events together with their parents over the years. Waylon and Ada made their red carpet debuts in June 2019 at the premiere of “Toy Story 4,” per Taste of Country. They were later seen with their parents at the the 2022 Academy of Country Music Awards on March 7, which, he announced in his acceptance speech, was also Waylon’s 13th birthday.
Ada Stapleton
Chris’s oldest daughter is Ada, who is around one year younger than her brother Waylon, according to People.
In an interview with Country Now in 2020, Chris revealed that quarantining at home gave him a chance to get to know his two oldest children better. “You get to really check in,” he said. “My older children are 11 and 10 . . . so there’s all kinds of new personality and emotional space to explore with them. It’s really interesting to talk to them and hear their takes on things, their likes and dislikes, and they’re very opinionated.”
Macon and Samuel Stapleton
Soon after Chris and Morgane’s twins, Macon and Samuel, were born in April 2018, Reba McEntire broke the news of their arrival to the world at the Academy of Country Music Awards that year. “Chris couldn’t be here cause Morgane’s expecting twins,” she said while accepting his award for album of the year, per Us Weekly. “We just found out that those little rascals came a little bit early. Hot off the press! Twin boys.”
Morgane later revealed onInstagram that the babies had come over a month early. “Thank you for all the love!” she wrote in the caption. “We’re so grateful to finally be home with our sweet family. We would like to say a special thank you to all the incredible nurses & doctors at Centennial Women’s & Children’s Hospital in Nashville. At more than a month early, we had a week long stay in the nicu & the incredible people there kept our boys healthy & happy. Words cannot express our gratitude for you all & what you did for our family. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you!”
Baby No. 5
Chris and Morgane’s fifth child was born in May 2019. Chris originally revealed the news his family was expanding, again, during a concert in New York City earlier that year. “Some of you may know that we have four children,” he said. “We just had twins, about seven months ago. Now there’s four for us, but we’re gonna make it five!”
Morgane went on to announce the child’s birth on Instagram. “The most perfect Mother’s day,” she wrote. “I wish all you Mama’s the happiest of days today!”
