Colin Farrell, 46, has reportedly gone his separate ways with his girlfriend of five years Kelly MacNamara, due to his “hectic schedule”. The Hollywood actor was said to have “spent months” at a time dedicated to his work projects, leaving the couple to naturally drift apart.
Colin has had a busy award season, having Oscars and Golden Globe nods for his 2022 hit The Banshees of Inisherin.
However, according to The Sun, the couple has gone their separate ways, with Colin’s work priorities “taking their toll”.
The source said: “Colin is the man of the moment in film thanks to his role in The Banshees Of Inisherin.
“He spent months working on that along with the last Batman blockbuster, where he played Penguin.
“Colin’s schedule took its toll on his relationship with Kelly and they quietly called it quits.
“There is no bad feeling between them but upholding a romantic relationship when your work schedule is so demanding becomes difficult to juggle.”
Colin started dating PA Kelly in 2017, with her working for U2 guitarist, The Edge.
The actor touched on his romance during an appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres show in 2017 when he remarked: “My girlfriend travels a lot as well with work so oftentimes we’re two ships passing in the night but we make sure to find a port that we can, you know, rendezvous at.”
Express.co.uk has contacted Colin Farrell’s representatives for comment.
Colin has always been private about his love life but has been linked to the likes of Lindsay Lohan, Carmen Electra and Britney Spears.
Toxic singer Britney said in 2003 of their fling: “Yes, I kissed him . . . He’s the cutest, hottest thing in the world — wooh! But it was nothing serious.”
The actor has two children, with his oldest James Padraig being born in 2003 from his relationship with American model Kim Bordenave.
In 2009 he had a second son, Henry Tadeusz, 13, with Polish actress Alicja Bachleda-Curuś.
Colin took his youngest Henry along with him to the recent Oscars ceremony as he hoped to take home the Best Actor gong for The Banshees Of Inisherin.
The father and son duo looked great in matching black tuxedos, paired with bow ties.
Although he did not win the award, losing out to Brendan Fraser, it did mark his first-ever Oscar nomination.
Colin has previously won two Golden Globe Awards, one for In Bruges as Ray in 2009 and for Pádraic Súilleabháin in The Banshees Of Inisherin.
After the success of his last Hollywood venture, Colin has a busy year ahead, currently working on The Penguin, a spin-off from the 2022 film The Batman.
In November he is also expected to return to the character in the follow-up The Batman alongside Robert Pattinson.
