Coronation Street were left obsessed after actress Ellie Leach, who plays Faye Windass, debuted her recent hair transformation this weekend.
The 22-year-old from Bury took to her Instagram page to share a snap showing off her new 'do, which featured a much lighter colour and a brand new fringe.
Smiling for the camera, the actress could be seen sat in a bar as she held onto a refreshing looking drink, seemingly enjoying the Bank Holiday weekend.
She captioned the image 'bank hol fun' and friends and followers were quick to compliment the star's new look.
Co-star Paddy Bever, who plays Max Turner, commented: "Fringe! obsessed! x" while fellow Corrie favourite Brooke Vincent, who played Sophie Webster, replied with a love-heart eyes emoji.
Catherine Tyldesley, who played Eve Price, wrote: "The hair" as Tina O'Brian commented: "You look stunning! Loving the hair."
And fans were equally as enthralled by her new locks, with one writing: "Go on Ellie! You look amazing!"
"Ellie you look stunning love your hair xx Hope your ok sweetheart xxx," another added.
A third said: "Absolutely stunning, love the hair."
Earlier this month it was reported that Ellie, who has played Faye in Coronation Street since 2011, was leaving the soap in a huge summer storyline.
During her 12 years in the show her character has been through many big storylines such as a teenage pregnancy and the early menopause.
And in the most recent episodes, Faye's world has been turned upside down after the unexpected arrival of her ex Jackson Hodge and daughter Miley, who she give birth to when she was just 13.
Their return came as a shock and Faye was left in turmoil over whether to meet her estranged daughter but eventually came round to the idea.
However the re-emergence of her past has left current partner Craig, played by Colson Smith, feeling insecure.
Ellie is expected to leave the soap as part of one of this summer’s storylines, although details so far have remained a closely guarded secret.
One crucial detail however, is that Faye will apparently not be killed off, leaving the door open to the star should she wish to return in the future.
