Nicola Thorp receives glitter from Disney store worker
Pregnant former Coronation Street star Nicola Thorp was left weeping after a gesture from a woman who works in a Disney store.
Taking to her Instagram story, she explained what had affected her.
“The lady at the Disney store found out I was pregnant, and she sprinkled some magic into my bag,” she wept, while holding it up to show viewers.
“And now, I can’t keep it together,” she sniffed as tears streamed from her eyes.
Nicola and her fiancé, Starstruck star Nikesh Patel, only just announced last month that they were expecting their first child.

They revealed the happy news in a joint post on Instagram, which was captioned: “Some news.” They accompanied the simple message with a series of pictures shared with Nicola’s 56,700 and Nikesh’s 44,800 followers.
In the snaps, the pair were both posing in formalwear while the former proudly displayed her pregnancy bump.
The news that Nicola, 34, and Nikesh, 38, are expecting came nine months after the pair announced their engagement.
Earlier this year, Nicola posted a series of images on social media, showing off her new engagement ring. She wore a long-sleeved red dress while her fiancé wore a crisp white shirt and a black bow tie alongside her.
Speaking about the proposal last January, she told Jeremy Vine: “There was candles everywhere and he was in a tuxedo and there was photos everywhere about us and a little nod to my grandmother passed away. I was in tears,” she admitted.

The couple have been together two years after Nicola announced they were dating in October 2021 with a loved-up snap to mark her birthday.
Nicola played the role of Nicola Rubinstein on Coronation Street from 2017 until 2018 and again briefly in 2019. The character was the long lost daughter of murderous Pat Phelan (played by Connor McIntyre) who had been conceived after he raped her mother Anabel.
She had plenty of drama during her time on the cobbles including a fling with Gary Windass, which resulted in a son, Zack.
Officially the character is raising the child in Bristol so the door is open for her return at some point in the future.
