David and Victoria Beckham in neighbourhood row over Cotswolds renovations

David Beckham and Victoria Beckham are said to be in hot water with neighbours over their decision to turn a barn on their Cotswolds property into offices.

The pair, whose £12 million country mansion also sits on the vast property, have reportedly received planning permission to build a new road, which has supposedly annoyed locals.

Representatives for the pair have requested permission to construct three office spaces in the barn, alongside a building, according to The Sun.

The barn, which is said to currently house former England star David’s gardening equipment, will still be accessed by an external wooden staircase.

The couple has also just been granted planning permission to construct a new glasshouse and raised kitchen.

Express.co.uk has contacted the couple’s representatives, who declined to comment.

This isn’t the first time the pair has allegedly caused upset with their construction ambitions.

In July, they also sought permission to build a new 250m temporary access road into their sprawling home.

David apparently wants a new access road between the mansion and a nearby farm track away from the original road into the property and to have the building traffic diverted while the glasshouse is built.

A neighbour hit out at the move branding it “pointless” and a “waste of resources”, according to the same publication.

In a letter sent to the West Oxfordshire District Council, they reportedly wrote: “Hi, I object to this because it is a needless use of materials.

“There is already an access road to the property so what is the point of laying another road just to build a fancy greenhouse? That seems pointless and a waste of resources.”

David and Victoria are also planning to build a massive outdoor kitchen in their garden, it was reported by the Daily Mail just weeks ago.

The pair also previously won a back and forth over elaborate plans to build a 2,976 square metre kidney-shaped wide lake with its own island on the property.

The Beckhams bought the property in Great Tew, near Chipping Norton, for £6.1million in December 2016.
