In case you were casually lurking on Twitter last night and noticed Drake’s name trending: no, he has not been arrested in Sweden. Drake became a trending topic on Thursday night as fans speculated that he’d been arrested by Stockholm police at a nightclub.
But, not so much! Drake’s team “categorically” denied the rumors to The Hollywood Reporter, confirming that a) he has not been arrested in Sweden, and that b) he was chilling at his hotel.
Drake is visiting Sweden, however, and reportedly arrived on Wednesday on his personal Boeing 767 called “Air Drake.” Unclear why he’s in the country, but THR notes that he’s visited the Östermalm district of Stockholm and dined at Ciccio’s restaurant.
Drake is coming off the release of his new album Honestly, Nevermind, which has been killing it on the Billboard charts. Also important? He recently joined the Backstreet Boys onstage in Toronto to perform “I Want It That Way,” a moment in time I, for one, have yet to recover from:
