Broadcaster Eamonn Holmes has sparked concern as he continues to suffer from chronic pain.
The 62 year old GB news presenter opened up about his struggles on Twitter Tuesday morning and offered a channel for sufferers to talk about their emotional pain.
“Hello, all my #ChronicPain sufferers… I know it’s not much help but it does help a little I feel to know we are not alone.
“Therefore from time to time, I make these posts so some of you can share stories and just talk to someone who knows what u r going through,” he penned.
Eamonn’s post encouraged his followers to share their own chronic ordeal. One user wrote: “I pushed my partner away because I couldn't cope with the extreme pain prison I couldn't escape from.”
“Just picked my phone up, as can't sleep due to the discomfort. Hope ur pain is away soon,” a second quipped.
In response, Eamonn said: “Yeah, this is a brief escape but maybe people will bond and stay in touch.”
Another fan asked the presenter if he was “Awake with pain too?”
To which the presenter said “Yep. Afraid so” before adding that he feels the “awful” discomfort day and night.
One follower spoke of a list of excruciating health issues from Musculoskeletal and hypermobility to a slipped disc.
“Even tho I suffer from sciatica it feels worse. Knee cap that like to slide, list goes on and I’m only 33. Can’t take medicine really as allergic,” they added.
Eamonn appeared to sympathise by writing: “Dear God. So sorry x.”
“I was in agony with sciatica down my right leg. Indescribable pain. A dozen visits to an osteopath did nothing. Reflexology cleared it up completely after just 3 sessions. Nothing improves my lower back pain though,” expressed another Twitter user.
To which Eamonn shared that he had “Done it all too”.
In March 2021 he was diagnosed with a dislocated pelvis and three slipped discs and has faced ongoing issues as a result.
Speaking to OK! at TRIC Awards earlier this year, Eamonn gave an update on his health status.
He said: "Hopefully bit by bit I'm getting better, I mean it's…. I've a long way to go but hopefully I'm getting better".
He continued: "I have my physio and I have my training and I try and do what I can do to get stronger".
In June, Eamonn was forced to miss days of presenting duties on GB News, which he usually presents alongside Isabel Webster, due to him having to undergo "unexpected" treatment for his long term back condition in hospital.
