Ben Hardy and Jessica Plummer have reportedly called time on their relationship after an eighteen-month romance.
The pair had both previously spent separate stints on EastEnders but later met on the set of BBC drama The Girl Before, where they played romantic partners.
Ben, 32, and Jessica, 30, grew close during filming and soon began dating, seeming to confirm their romance when they werespotted on a date night in December 2021 .
The pair were first linked that August, when it was claimed they'd enjoyed an evening out together.
However, it has now been reported that the couple have decided to go their separate ways after "growing apart".
A source told the Mirror: "Ben and Jessica were besotted with each other but work has meant they spent a lot of time apart.
"Over time it’s taken its toll and recently they decided to call it a day."
OK! has contacted representatives for Ben and Jessica for comment.
Last July, they shared holiday snaps of their time in Turkey, with Ben writing: “Best fake birthday ever.”
Ben appeared in EastEnders as Peter Beale between 2013-2015 and later headed to Hollywood for starring roles in X-Men: Apocalypse and Bohemian Rhapsody, where he played Queen drummer Roger Taylor.
Meanwhile, Jessica first got her start in showbiz as part of the girl group Neon Jungle, before playing Chantelle Atkins in EastEnders between 2019 and 2020. She also took part in I’m A Celeb in 2020.
The pair played a couple called Emma and Simon in BBC thriller The Girl Before in 2021.
They starred alongside Gugu Mbatha-Raw and David Oyelowo in the gripping tale about a girl who moves into an ultra-minimalist house designed by an enigmatic architect.
The show told the story of Jane (Gugu) who starts to feel herself changing in unexpected ways when she moves into the house.
She then makes a shocking discovery about her predecessor Emma – played by Jessica – which forces her to confront some unnerving similarities.
The four-part psychological thriller is based upon a novel of the same name by J.P. Delaney.
