Ellie Goulding was hit in the face by pyro during an emotional set at Victorious Festival in Portsmouth on Sunday.
The songstress, 36, was performing her new hit Miracle when a pyro flame went off at the wrong time and hit her in the face.
Ellie was heard screaming and shouting ‘f**k’ before running away from the pyro machine and then holding her face.
She cut a chic figure in a black asymmetrical top and jeans to entertain the crowd with a selection of her most famous hits.
After the scary incident, Ellie grasped the microphone passionately as she showcased her famous vocals just days after sharing a cryptic post amid her marriage split.

Newly single Ellie cryptically advised her followers to ‘keep going’ as she shared photos from a lavish holiday with her son on Tuesday.
She took to Instagram to share a gallery of snaps from the trip as she beamed to the camera while holding her son Arthur, two.
Ellie looked incredible in a black bikini as she posed for the rare snap with her toddler, who she shares with art dealer husband Caspar Jopling, 30.
While soaking up the sun at the beach, Ellie seemed in high spirits as she spent some quality time with little boy.
In another photo, she applied a glamorous palette of makeup including a bold smokey eye shadow as she posed for a selfie in the bikini.
Showing off her glowing tan, Ellie also uploaded another selfie while wearing minimal makeup and a black racer neck dress.
The Burn singer looked stunning as she left her long blonde tresses loose and accessorised with several gold earrings.
She penned alongside the photos: ‘Dump. I don’t know who needs to hear this but- keep going! Love you x’
Eliie and Caspar are spending time apart after sources claimed their busy schedules caused their marriage to suffer however it is thought that the pair are still close, and continue to co-parent their son.

Ellie has been spotted with Caspar on multiple occasions, leading some friends they may be able to rebuild their marriage.
Earlier this month the singer was spotted spending time with Tory peer Zac Goldsmith.
The pair, who both recently split from their partners, appear to have become even closer after they were spotted near his new West London home together.
It comes after Ellie gave a rare insight into her private life during a TV appearance as she discussed her son Arthur while on This Morning in April.
Ellie said: ‘He’s nearly two. That’s the best thing, that this album I get to see his reaction which is the greatest of all. Not when he puts his fingers in his ears to some of them.

‘I’m a big environmentalist, so I love doing that and then touring is my natural habitat.’
Ellie has previously said she soothes her crippling anxiety and panic attacks by snuggling with her little boy.
Ellie says he helps to calm the frantic states which have ‘dictated quite a lot of my life and career’.
