Spice Girls member Geri Horner sparked controversy this time last year after a picture circulated online of her taking a selfie with divisive political figure Nadine Dorries.
The famous popstar, and other half of Formula One’s Christian Horner, could be seen hugging the ex-Tory MP in a social media post.
A few of the 50-year-old star’s fans said they were “disappointed” by her apparent friendship with Nadine.
The unearthed photograph taken at the Euro 22 final was shared to X, formerly known as Twitter, by Nadine last summer.
In view of her 188,100 followers at the time, the politician wrote: “Girl power radiating from Wembley tonight.”

However, fans criticised the star for posing with controversial political figure Nadine.
Fans were also not impressed after Geri met former Prime Minister Liz Truss at the final, telling the politician to “go for it” in last year’s party’s leadership race.
Geri’s followers express their disappointment under Nadine’s post at the time, with the star’s name even trending on what was formerly known as Twitter.
Fans were particularly critical of Nadine’s history of voting against gay marriage and “only recently demonising the trans community”.
One person voiced the opinion: “Geri really does do everything she can to p*** on her legacy. Madness.”
While another quipped: “Geri really slammed the left and shook herself to the right huh.”
“It’s actually crazy how one woman has the power to make me think less of an actual Spice Girl,” another commented.
Express.co.uk has contacted Geri’s representatives for comment.
