Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik are focused on being the best possible co-parents for their daughter!
As you most likely know, the pair had a rough time last year after Yolanda Hadid shockingly claimed that Zayn had physically attacked her. But for a minute, it looked like Gigi and the former One Direction band member were moving on from the controversy as she gave him a shout-out on social media for Father’s Day — and again for throwing their 2-year-old daughter Khai “the best” birthday party last month. However, the peace seemed to get disrupted when rumors of a romance between the 27-year-old model and Leonardo DiCaprio broke. Zayn unfollowed Gigi on Instagram shortly after pictures of her and Leo getting cozy together dropped. Yikes…
Despite the 29-year-old singer removing Gigi from his following list, we’re now hearing there’s no bad blood between them at the moment! According to Us Weekly on Wednesday, a source shared that the exes are in a “better” place when it comes to co-parenting their little one — and Gigi wants to do everything to make sure it stays that way moving forward:
“Gigi has her walls up since she’s on better terms with Zayn and they’re doing well coparenting. She’s not rushing into a serious relationship. She’s very fond of Leo and is interested in pursuing a relationship with him but at the same time is very busy with her modeling gigs and being there for her daughter.”
It’s great to hear that Zayn and Gigi are making it work as co-parents! And that the IG unfollow was nothing serious.
But speaking of Leo… that source seems to think things are going slow. Another characterizes it as more… “easy.”
While Gigi was booked and busy with modeling jobs at Paris Fashion Week, she had the support of the 47-year-old actor, who was even spotted outside the same hotel, the Royal Monceau, as her in France last week. An insider close to Gigi told E! News on Wednesday she has been “thankful” that Leo came abroad to be with her as she took the runways:
“Gigi and Leo are having a lot of fun right now. They have been trying to stay low-key and private and she has been enjoying the time they have been spending together. Gigi is grateful he came into her life during this time and has said it’s exactly what she needed. Leo is very laidback and she likes that their relationship is casual and easy. It’s going well so far.”
