GMB: Ben Shephard on Josie Gibson entering I’m a Celeb
ITV fans have rushed to support Good Morning Britain presenter Ben Shephard after he shared that he is “clinging on” to his age. The 49-year-old celebrated his birthday yesterday with a heartfelt Instagram post.
Sharing to his 528,000 followers, the presenter typed: “Feeling very spoiled having had a lovely birthday with the family and from all your messages! Thank you!! No idea where the time has gone or is going, but as you can see from the cards the family certainly aren’t letting me age quietly!! The fact that Annie nicked Clint Eastwoods poncho made it even better.
“By the way don’t be confused by my cards – I’m not 50 or 60 that’s my boys winding me up! I’m still clinging onto my 49th year!!! #thegoodthebadandtheoldbugger.” (sic)
His post included an adorable selfie with his wife Annie and another snap of the birthday cards he had received, including some that jokingly said Happy 50th and 60th Birthday. There was also a pic of his wife wearing a poncho as she embraced Ben.
Many of his fellow colleagues joined in on the ongoing joke and flocked to the comments section. Lorraine Kelly posted: “Happy 21st you scrumptious, glorious, cute as a button angel child.” (sic)

In similar news, Ben has recently lifted the lid on Kate Garraway’s personal life and said she’s has a “horrendous few years.” Her life was turned upside down in 2020 when her husband Derek was admitted to hospital with Covid.
He said to OK! Magazine: “We all know Kate has had a horrendous few years with her family and is battling really hard on all fronts. She’s now become such an important voice for the social care system and carers because it’s something she’s living first hand.”
The virus caused major health complications and he spent 13 months in hospital with around-the-clock care. Kate recently released a new book which uncovers the truth of caring for a loved one and hopes that it will help others get through similar situations.
She last spoke about Derek during a podcast with Giovanni Fletcher back in March, saying he is still “very, very damaged” and “can’t really move”. Kate was awarded an MBE in the 2022 New Year Honours List for services in journalism, charity and broadcasting.
