Goldie Hawn says marriage is bad for your psychologie
Goldie Hawn has revealed why she hasn’t married her long-term partner Kurt Russell.
The actress has been with fellow actor Kurt, 72, for 40 years and they share 37-year-old son Wyatt Russell together.
In a new interview, the actress discussed how the impact of divorces has put her off ever marrying again.
Speaking to broadcaster Chris Wallace for CNN last week, the 73-year-old was asked why she and Kurt decided not to tie the knot.
She replied: “Why should we get married? Isn’t that a better question?”

Elaborating on her comments, she continued: “Somebody actually has to take a look and say, ‘How many divorces are fun? How many divorces actually don’t cost money?
“How many divorces make you even hate the person more than you did before? How many divorces have hurt children?'”
Goldie has been married twice before, firstly to Gus Trikonis from 1969–1976, followed by Bill Hudson, from 1976 to 1982.
With her second husband, she shares 44-year-old daughter actress Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson, 46, also an actor.
Goldie’s long-term partner has also been married in the past to American film star Season Hubley, who he has son Boston with.
In the chat, the mother-of-three noted that the pair had both exchanged vows before and claimed divorces ended up being “big business”.

“Somebody has to own something, it’s always ugly,” she continued.
Chris went on to suggest that she and Kurt are unlikely to break up due to them being together for so long.
In response, Goldie said: “How did you know that, then?
“I like the idea that I can wake up in the morning and make decisions every day if I want to be here.”
The actress went on to suggest that “staying independent” had been her saviour in their relationship.
She continued: “Relationships are hard. They’re not always easy. There’s all kinds of hurdles we go through.
“There’s things that we believe in, things we don’t believe in, we agree on.
“So I think ultimately staying independent with independent thinking is important, so you can hold on to yourself, and you can actually have that feeling.”
