Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been described as "poor D-Listers by Hollywood standards," according to a royal author.
Harry, 38, and Meghan, 41, moved to a sprawling £12.65million ($14m) mansion in Montecito, California, in 2020, after sensationally stepping down from their senior roles within the Royal Family and embarking on a new life in America.
They boast famous neighbours such as Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom in their exclusive residential area, however, rumours have been swirling that they wish to move to a bigger property.
Royal biographer, Tina Brown, doesn't reckon that they have the means to do so though, as their fortune is likely to be dwarfed by that of some of Tinseltown's fabulously rich A-Listers, many of whom are billionaires.
She said: "It's not very pleasant to be a D-list celebrity who, for them, doesn't have enough money. It's a wholly different game to be with those super-rich people. In Montecito, where they live, their $14 million mansion is a humble cottage compared to what these other people have."
After reports that Meghan had been house hunting in the exclusive Hope Ranch area, not far from her current home, Tina suggested that Meghan might be looking to move on from more than just her house one day.
She said: "Yes, and at some point it might be more than a new house she's looking for," before adding: "Elon Musk is still single, that's all I have to say."
Prince Harry and Meghan are said to be worth around $20million, with more expected to come from lucrative deals they've signed, including with streaming giant Netflix and Harry's three-book deal with Penguin Random House, worth millions.
They are said to be "panicked", though, as Harry is reported to want to make "significant edits" to his soon-to-be-released memoir in the wake of the death of the Queen and his father King Charles ascending the throne, for fear that any negativity about the Royal Family will not be well-received by the public.
Harry and Meghan are also said to be having "second thoughts" on the "tone" of their highly-anticipated Netflix documentary, in the wake of the Queen’s death.
According to Page Six, the couple are said to want to make “extensive edits” to footage already shot, leaving the entire production in fear of being “shelved indefinitely.”
Netflix are said to have been intending on releasing the docuseries later on this year after the fifth season of The Crown is released on 9 November.
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are said to have attempted to remove or downplay many of the comments made about King Charles, Queen Consort Camilla, Prince William and his wife Kate, the new Princess of Wales.
