Helen Mirren twirls in stunning black D&G dress
It isn’t just Helen Mirren’s acting skills that have been recognised since she rose to fame in the 1960s.
The actress, who marks her 78th birthday today, also has a huge love for eye-catching outfits and many have turned heads over the years.
One recent example is when The Queen star stood out at the Shazam! Fury of the Gods UK Special Screening in London back in March.
She stole the show on the red carpet, opting for a bright pink floor-length gown which featured an oversized bow and flared sleeves.
The actress also garnered attention at the Cannes Film Festival in May by dyeing her hair different shades of blue to match her dress.

Helen’s headline-grabbing looks date way back into the 1980s, as one unearthed snap shows.
For her role as Georgina Spica in crime drama The Cook, The Thief and His Lover, Helen dressed up in racy attire for the film’s cover.
Aged 44 at the time, the actress stunned in a very plunging cut out top which complemented her physique.
The plunging ensemble also brought attention to her chest and toned arms as she posed with her hand on her hip.
Adding to her cover look, she wore striking red lipstick and styled her hair in an elegant updo.

Loose Women’s Charlene White ‘mortified’ as she falls asleep behind the scenes[REVEALED]
In the movie, Helen takes on the role of a well-bred wife to evil crime boss Albert Spica (played by Michael Gambon).
She later begins an affair with restaurant regular Michael (Alan Howard) but their secret is swiftly discovered by her gangster husband.
Ultimately, he forces Georgina to hide out at Michael’s book depository, but she later gets revenge and shoots him in the head.
Helen has gone further than racy attire in the past and has taken her kit off completely for some roles and photoshoots.
For the 1969 film Age of Consent, Helen went totally naked for the role of an artistic muse.
She repeated the same move for 2003 comedy Calender Girls, playing Chris Harper, the driving force behind the idea of stripping off for the local Women’s Institute calendar.
In 2010, she famously posed topless in a bath tub for New York Magazine.
Five years on from the memorable shoot, Helen reflected on her racy scenes and said she would no longer be stripping off.
Speaking on the CBS Show, the actress said her “pleasure pillows” were now only for her long-term husband Taylor Hackford.
She added: “That’s the good thing about getting older. You don’t have to do that sort of thing anymore.
Helen went on to say that despite all the nude and topless scenes she’s done, she was never really keen on doing them.
She added: “I never wanted to do that, but you know, I thought, pffft, does it really matter?”
The BAFTA-award winning star has also said she has no fears about ageing and embraces “growing up” instead.
