A BBC star looks completely unrecognisable in glamorous photoshoot snaps which were taken 30 years ago.
The photos were taken of the actress when she was in her late 20s before her acting career took off.
The award winning British star recently bagged another gong at the National Television Award on Tuesday.
The mother-of-three, who is from Oldham Lancashire, was awarded an OBE in the 2017 Queen’s Birthday Honours List for her services to Drama.

It is none other than Happy Valley star Sarah Lancashire.
The actress, 58, portrayed tough Sergeant Catherine Cawood in the gritty crime-drama series which ran for nine years and finished in February this year leaving fans devastated.
Sarah and her co-stars took home best-returning drama at the NTA’s for the series last night.
The drama followed stone-cold police Seargant was responsible for her grandson after his mother committed suicide.
Her character was portrayed as a struggling and over-stretched police officer who was constantly trying to get a grip on her stressful personal and challenging work life.
The pictures of Sarah which were taken back in 1994 when she was in her late 20s have recently resurfaced.
She looked worlds away from her troubled TV character as she donned a stunning outfit while posing up a storm for the camera.
Sarah cut a very glamorous figure in a green velvet gown while lounging on a chair in one snap.

Cutting more of a sophisticated look, the actress wowed in a smart black suit with her hair swooped to the back in a classic up-do.
Sarah first kick-started her acting career on ITV soap Coronation Street in 1987, portraying character Wendy who appeared once.
She later went on to star in 500 episodes playing Raquel Watts, and since then she has become a household name on British TV.
Sarah’s other TV projects, include Dramarama, Watching, About Face, and most recently, she played Julia Child in Julia.
