Holly Willoughby, 42, sent fans into a frenzy on Friday as she took to social media to show off the Coronation-inspired cake she had been baking since the night before, but was quick to warn fans not to look at the iced crown confection “too closely”.
In the photo, shared in view of her 8.2 million followers, the This Morning star beamed as she held up to the camera the huge, gold crown-shaped dessert.
Along with the snap, Holly wrote a lengthy caption revealing she had baked the realistic cake herself to enjoy along with some bubbles today, as the regal ceremony takes place.
The TV presenter penned: “Well @julietsear and @thismorning I did it!!! Started it last night and just finished… don’t look too closely…
“It may not be perfect but I can’t wait to have slice with the kids and a glass of bubbles whilst watching the Coronation tomorrow … whatever and wherever you are this weekend enjoy the moment and I hope cake is involved somewhere!”
Moments after sharing the post, Holly added a comment, clarifying: “It does look like a golden jacket potato on top I know…”
Fans and friends of the TV star seemed impressed as they took to the post’s comments section to praise the majestic cake, as well as Holly’s hidden talent.
Professional baker Juliet Sear said: “Holly this EPIC!!! SO COOL you nailed this! well done and have a brilliant bank holiday weekend xxx” (sic)
