With him a Premier League smash hit and her a Britain’s Next Top Model sensation, the pair appear a match made in heaven.
The couple first met in 2006 when they were at the dawn of their respective careers – as Peter had just joined the Liverpool team, while Abbey was carving out her place in the modelling industry.

Planting the seed
Since becoming runner up of Britain’s Next Top Model in 2006, Abbey has been no stranger to TV appearances and high-profile campaigns.
And her relationship with Peter has certainly played a part, with the beauty appearing in a 2010 edition Sports Illustrated wearing only body paint to make it appear as if she was wearing an England shirt.
While she sported an England shirt, along with other footballer’s wives and girlfriends for an Umbro campaign that same year.
Taking to the small screen after her success on Britain’s Next Top Model, Abbey then went on to win Strictly Come Dancing in 2013, while also starring in shows such as Hell’s Kitchen.
While Peter made a name for himself in sports after joining the Liverpool team as a striker, before being capped 42 times by the England National Team between 2005 and 2010.
Upon retiring in July 2019 at aged 38 after a successful career, the sportsman began working for BT Sport and Amazon Prime as a pundit.

Abbey and Peter pair could be bringing in over £10,000 per episode of the podcast, according to Brand and Culture Expert Nick Ede.
It appears to have opened some doors already, as Abbey is now reportedly set to forge a solo TV career with a new interior design show.
A source told The Sun: ‘Abbey has been making waves on her podcast with Peter and now she’s forging a path solo on the box. She has been chosen to front a new interior design show which is being made and developed for ITVBE and ITVX.’

The podcast isn’t their only new joint venture, as the pair have been taking part in a number of TV campaigns this year too – which could see them take in a £1M profit.
Teaming up with McDonalds for the fast food brand’s new DoubleUp promotion this month, the pair are set to star in their brand new TV advert.
In a promotional clip that was released earlier this month, they are hilariously seen mimicking one another’s accents during the playful clip.
The ad is hoping to drive customers to the new offer, where McDonald’s is offering customers double MyMcDonald’s Rewards points for the next three weeks, exclusively via the McDonald’s App from Monday 27 February until Sunday 5 March.

According to expert Nick Ede, the pair can be looking to command in the region of £1 Million in total – with social media, UK wide ads in print, TV and on digital screens, this will make them top earners.
He explains: ‘They will see a big rise in their fortune and net worth – they command something called favoured nations, which when they both will be paid the same will see their value increase.’

While the family also shared details of the magical day to the magazine with an accompanying interview.
Despite magazines no longer paying sky-high fees for these deals, it is a great way for the couple to build their brand and garner publicity.
