It seems, however, that Katy Perry still enjoys some of the simple, traditional pleasures – having declared her passion for reading newspapers.
The 38-year-old American pop singer revealed that ‘one of her favourite things’ is to read a newspaper over breakfast.
And she hopes that print will never fade from popularity in the digital age because it is ‘too romantic’.

Miss Perry, whose hits include I Kissed A Girl And I Liked It, shared her thoughts with her 108million followers on Twitter on Wednesday.
The Grammy-winning performer wrote: ‘One of my favourite sounds ever is the sound of a crisp new newspaper being read over breakfast for an hour or so.
‘The popping out of it, the folding, the scribbling on the crossword… I hope it never goes out of fashion in our digital world. It is too romantic.’

It is unclear which newspaper Miss Perry reads each morning.
Her tweet was liked by more than 28,000 people, including former culture secretary Nadine Dorries who echoed her statement.
‘I never grew up with this scenario at home – but the thought of one day being able to be this person, who holds a newspaper in my hands and slowly turns each page whilst I eat toast and marmalade,’ the Conservative MP wrote.
And broadcaster Piers Morgan, who was the editor of the Daily Mirror between 1996 and 2004, wrote: ‘Ditto! Well said, Ms Perry.’

The singer’s tweet was used as a rallying cry by local papers in the United States to encourage more people to read them.
In an allusion to the title of one of her songs, the Dallas Morning News account wrote: ‘We hope newspapers don’t become the one that got away too, Katy. #supportlocaljournalism.’
And the Kansas City Star shared a video of someone reading its newspaper and completing the crossword alongside a cup of tea with Miss Perry’s tweet.

Miss Perry, who lives in California, is currently planning her wedding to British actor Orlando Bloom, 45, star of The Lord Of The Rings movies.

Speaking about the wedding, she recently told actress Drew Barrymore’s American talk show: ‘There’s still a plan but the location is challenging.
I love a big celebration. I am all about big, fun, exotic, great celebrations. So, hopefully, soon.’
Should she find herself in her husband-to-be’s home country, Miss Perry might like to settle down with a copy of the UK’s top-selling national newspaper, the Daily Mail.
The most recent figures show average sales in September were 842,119 a day, and 1.36million for the Saturday edition, while The Mail+ digital app has over 89,000 active subscribers.
