The Australian female rapper, who previously revealed that she is not on ‘good terms’ with her baby daddy, also insinuates in a tweet that she was also assaulted by the emcee when they were together.
AceShowbiz –Iggy Azalea has weighed in on Playboi Carti‘s arrest. After news broke that her baby daddy has been detained for allegedly assaulting his pregnant girlfriend, the “Fancy” hitmaker said she’s having “an actually amazing day.”
The 32-year-old offered her two cents via Twitter on Tuesday, February 14. “Imagine having a pregnant girlfriend and pretending they don’t exist until it comes out you like to abuse them too,” she first wrote.
“[And] rarely visiting your actual son unless it’s because you’re running from whatever problems ya got going on in Atlanta and the press with your serial abuse of [women],” the Australian native added.
Iggy followed it up with a tweet that read, “Anyway, I’m having an actually amazing day. karma’s real.” She then told her fans, “Treat the people you love well. Happy Valentine’s Day.”
Prior to that, Iggy shared a cryptic post, insinuating that she had a similar experience with Carti’s girlfriend. “Been there. Done that. Warned you,” she penned.
Carti has been held in prison for allegedly grabbing his partner by the throat and holding onto her neck until she gasped for air on December 20, 2022. The emcee was apprehended for felony aggravated assault in Georgia.
According to the arrest affidavit form obtained by TMZ, the female, whom Carti has been dating for more than two years, feared for her life. She also said a witness attempted to stop the alleged physical altercation, but after she ran to her car to phone 911, Carti allegedly tried to get her out of the car and put his hand over her mouth. Upon their arrival, police reportedly found injuries on her neck, chest, and back.
Carti’s lawyer has shut down the accusations. Attorney Brian Steel told TMZ, “Mr. Carter was falsely accused. Pursuant to my communications with the Fulton County District Attorney’s office, this case will be dismissed without any prosecution or litigation.”
