Mike Tindall delighted fans over the weekend as he entered I’m a Celeb, with some already predicting that he will win the show.
Mike, who was previously part of the 2003 England Rugby squad that won the World Cup, arrived in Australia alongside pop icon Boy George, Coronation Street’s Sue Cleaver, Hollyoaks star Owen Warner, and TV presenter Scarlette Douglas.
After his arrival, many fans of the show took to Twitter to share their thoughts, with one person branding him a “genuinely nice guy”, another dubbing him their favourite royal, and others suggesting he will win the crown in the coming weeks.
During the introductory trial, Mike, 44, Owen, 23, and Sue, 59, battled the elements and critters to solve a puzzle in the hopes of unlocking a star.
Before long, Mike volunteered to submerge himself under the water and swim into an overturned boat, telling his co-stars that he would do it as he has “no hair.”
It took the rugby player way too long to realise a spider was on his head, which he swatted away effortlessly before telling his teammates.
Mike’s introduction has gone down a treat with fans, as one person wrote: “Mike Tindall is my call for Winner & King of the Jungle 2022.
“@DannyBMiller can keep his Crown as Mike will borrow one of King Charles real ones for his Coronation.
“He is going to be TV gold!”
Someone else replied: "Mike Tindall is gonna smash it in the jungle."
A third said, “Team Mike Tindall every way”, while another added, “My two faves so far are Mike Tindall and Jill Scott.”
“Mike Tindall on #ImACeleb will blitz it I mean rugby players eat others shite and piss from a pint glass as an initiation don't they? Also he's a royal family member now so he'll be used to weird body parts in the mouth for entertainment too,” another fan wrote.
Most fans noted how if Mike were to win the show, then his wife Zara Tindall, formerly Phillips, would technically be Queen, despite being 20th in line for the British throne.
Another notable moment came when within minutes of appearing on the screen, Mike said the word “s**t”, and naturally, the internet is still talking about it.
One person joked: “MIKE TINDALL SAID S**T THIS IS AMAZING LET UR HAIR DOWN BABES.”
Another added: "Mike Tindall swearing! I know he’s a member of the royal family but he’s hilarious."
